That's correct. I believe there's more stuff on Trial mountain. Coming down the hill past sector 3, look to the background to see 2 people in a row-boat in the lake.

You're totally right, if you go into picture mode and you can see the boat in the lake from the white billboard, you can also see something else... Search the side of the lake left from the boat and you'll see it. I'll take a picture of it and post it later this day...

It's hard to ignore the fact that Nessie was at the other side of the lake and the people on it in the middle, but that she is still more detailed then the people, so it was actually meant to be there and to be found. I'm still wondering why you don't get any trophy for it...

It's a nickname for the Lochness Monster. If you look off one of Trial Mountain's final turns where the lake is, one of PD's devs put this in the lake as an Easter egg.

Edit: I have an in-game pic of Nessie somewhere, and now of course I can't find it.
