should be given that race win, robbie gordon is a sore loser and a cheat, and doesnt listen to instructions from race officials. at least marcos stayed optimistic.

Could you explain please?

You had to have watched yesterday's Montreal Busch race to completely understand. But, in short, Marcos Ambrose & Robby Gordon were racing with about 5 laps to go, Robby passed Ambrose, then the caution came out, then Ambrose spun Robby. NASCAR told Robby to restart behind the 33 of Ron Fellows, and refused, then was told to move to the back, he refused again. He was black flagged as the race restarted & Robby spun out Ambrose and took the lead, he claims anyway, Kevin Harvick took advantage of Robby's revenge on Ambrose and won.

I agree with Robby when he said he should've restarted 1st or 2nd, but what he did after the final restart was uncalled for, I applaud NASCAR for suspending him, but I don't applaud the way that they conducted things during the last caution, Robby got confused and didn't know where to restart, and it just pissed him off & the wreck with Ambrose on the restart was the result.

i honestly dont pay much attention to nascar, dont even know what each series is and the likes, but changed the channel to see ambrose take his first lead (so the commentators said) in a nascar race. being australian i thought this to be quite a special moment, so i watched most of the rest of the race, only to see him spun by a guy who refused to obey orders from race officials, and his lead, which he had for most of the day, taken from him. the guy in question is now suspended for the next race from what i understand. if robbie gordon isnt the guys name, i appologise, ill just call him the 55 car. anywho, marcos was a shoe in for the win IMHO, if he hadnt been spun by a sore losing chump.
Im just bitter cos marcos is aussie, but still, that 55 car is a joke. He ruined another guys race cos he cant hack when things dont go his way, which in motorsport, happens alot, so maybe he's in the wrong buisness.
pathetic.

Thanks buddy.

I thought it was V8 Supercars at first.

Believe me. Robby Gordon wouldn't stand a chance at Oran Park or even Bathurst.

I wished I could have seen the race, had my brother not want me to see two movies in one day ("Transformers" and "The Simpsons Movie", both great). So let me tell you something. This seems a lot more like the Mexico City race in which Juan Pablo Montoya unintentionally spun out (the NASCAR types used "wrecked" to describe a simple spinout) his teammate and won the race. Keep in mind that I only saw race highlights. Marcus Ambrose was leading and unintentionally spins out Robby Gordon. I don't know too much else about this whole story except that Robby Gordon tagged Marcus Ambrose and completely disregarded NASCAR's orders. So his entry was excluded. If this was basketball, Robby Gordon would have committed a flagrant foul. Perhaps more than a technical foul.

But again, I don't know all of the intricacies of this deal. Wish I knew the whole story.

This isn't the first time Robby Gordon (driver of the 55 car) has been in a situation like this & it certainly won't be the last for him or the last time we'll see this from any driver (remember Kevin Harvick getting parked for a cup race after some antics during a truck race? or Jimmy Spencer getting parked for punching Kurt Busch?). It was really Ambrose's race to lose, and him being a rookie in the Busch series made him a target of sorts to veteran drivers.

Thanks buddy.

No prob.

I felt bad for Robby Gordon, he got spun during a caution while leading. When a caution is out then the field is frozen according to NASCAR rules...So Ambrose spins Gordon by accident and while the field is supposedly frozen they tell Gordon to restart 17th? I don't get it myself and If I were in Gordon's position, I'd be pissed aswell.

There is a curveball to the field is frozne at caution rule

The field gets frozen at the next track scoring loop after the caution.

So if Robby Gordon was spun after the caution but didn't make it to the next scoring loop before the 16th place car because of the spin the rule is for him to start 17th.

Did anybody here that Ambrose is going to race as Gordon's team mate at Watkins Glen?

NASCAR messed it all up, Gordon messed it all up, and even Ambrose let confusion, and testosterone get the better of him in this crazy event. Doesn't this thread have a place in the NASCAR thread?

I did, but apparently, Robby was actually suspended from this race as well.
