I hope this isn't a regurgitation of an old thread. I love my MOPARS. At one time there were 6 of them parked in front of my house. Down to only three now. 1966 Plymouth Barracuda Formula S, 1995 Intrepid and a 1999 Durango.

But enough of that. I hope that there are other MOPAR affectionados out there that have some snappy pictures (other than the ones in the "Muscle Cars" thread). These are some that I played around with a bit last night. Not touched up with Photoshop or anything like that but I thought that for "stock" photos they turned out pretty good.

Hope I didn't bore anyone witrh these.

Nice pics 👍
MOPAR owned with the elephant (426 HEMI). Nice color choices too, I haven't looked yet, but do they come in the original colors that Chrysler brought them out with? ie. Plum Crazy Purple, Mango, and Lime?

Excelllent pics!

There's a green charger in my gallery if you want to have a look. (follow the link in my sig)

What does Mopar mean, anyways? And how did you get that soft black border around the photos?

MOPAR = It started out as Chrysler Motor Parts and progressed from there to the shortened version we have today MOtor PARts.

Not to sure about the black border though. I just saved the pics to the USB stick and then uploaded the to the image host for pics here on this forum.

Thanks for the kind words.

Did they put Go Mango Orange in GT4???
PS. Anyone wanna sell me a v6, MT (manuel trans) 67' Mustang fastback for under 10k restored? :)

hope you dont mind...I used one of your photos for this.

i wanna know besides the plymouth is there a v8 that sounds beefy on there?

To me all the V8's sound sorta beefy. That is until you put a racing exhaust on them. That's when they start sounding like a Honda Civic with one of those coffee can tailpipes. PD did a VERY crappy job of making ANY of the American cars sound like they're supposed to with something other than the stock exhaust. The first American pavement pounder that I put a racing exhaust on was the Cougar that you win for whatever it was. I almost rolled on the floor laughing my tush off at the sound that it made. My son had just driven a Honda Accord with a Sport exhaust and neither of us could tell the difference between the Accord with the Sport exhaust and the BIG V8 of the Cougar with a racing exhaust. If you want the rumble of the big beefy American V8's DON'T put a racing exhaust on them. Sad but true.

But to answer your question more directly, the Charger has a nice throaty sound to it. Not sure of any of the older Chevies or Fords. Haven't been able to bring myself to buy any of those yet. :D

k man , i bought an ss commodore becuz im an aussie and even without a racing zorst it sounded like an overweight cat on pro - zac and it exactly the same motor as the vette :grumpy:

Nice Charger, I like it in white. It reminds me of Episode 7 on the second season of the Dukes of Hazard. The Dukes meet Cale Yarborough and he is driving a white Charger, '69 of course.

Anyway, nice pictures. It's always nice to see another MOPAR head on the boards. :)

I'm in the process of taking some pics for this thread, expect a post tomorrow!

Latest addition to my Mopar stable.....the Mighty Winged Warrior

Only got this Bird up to 218 mph top speed. I've gotta work on it some more :)

Here are a few of mine....I love the Viper. This one's completely stock...still lots of fun. Haven't taken any of my Superbird yet, and don't have many of my new Viper either.

where did you take this photo?? Thats probably the most realistic looking 'still' photo Ive seen yet.

Don't know how many of you will remember that "back in the day" it was VERY cool to have the back end of your car "jacked-up" to make it look like a drag racer. So here is an attempt to capture that feeling of "back in the day" with another one out of my Mopar stable. At the Las Vegas strip I've only been able to get this car to do an 11.217 in the quarter. I need to work on it some more. I'd like to get it in the 10's.

To replace an earlier post that included these pics and were lost by ImageShack

Just a few of my new toy.....

Until next time boys and girls.

I love that Concept Viper Race car. Takin it around the highspeed ring gets pretty tense at times, but I love it.

I give most of my muscle cars a "raked" look to them. The 'Bird is just the wrong car to drop the nose on IMHO.
