More Frustrating that fun?

I was really excited for online racing, but boy was I disappointed.

People just get the fastest car and crash it around the track, not one good race yet online. Just morons trying to crash each other like it is GTA

You've been joining the wrong room than. I've been racing online cleanly with other people almost every night. You need to join a room that has a HP and weight restriction. Even tyre restriction helps a lot. This way everyone is pretty close to even and it comes down to skill. You will get the occasional dumbass that try's to ruin it, but they can easily be removed.

You must love carrots because I can't see a bloody thing.

When you know the track like the back of your hand, the darkness & lack of light is no longer a problem. Once you learnt where & which part of track each car must be overtaken cleanly, the loose Lambo actually has what it takes to win the Toscana Challenge.

Took me many restarts, but when I knew that winning was possible with an error-free clean overtaking lap, frustration from restarts became fun...trying to improve my driving & chasing a perfect lap.

Hope this vid helps

Lambo event took me a few tries, but I did gold it. The night isn't a problem with me. I don't know if it's because I have a very nice Samsung LED, but I can see fine.

I've been playing the GT series since it first came out and loved every one until now. I've probably spent hundreds of hours on each GT game so I have decent grasp on what the game is about and consider myself a decent driver. This is by far the most frustrating one in the series. I'm at lvl 22 and am considering quitting the the game. My frustrations are,

-Some races have no restrictions which make it too easy and some are way way too hard. I've never had this much trouble beating any races(historic, NASCAR) in the previous 4 games in the series.

-Where are all the races? I have so many cars but unless I replay the same races I will never get to use them. Even if I replay the races I would have to mod the car but that would waste money and I won't be able to buy the cars that I need to beat future races. GT4 had tons of races so I had a chance to try all different types of cars.

-I"m not at level 23 yet but reading about that I need to save 5m and then find a formula 1 car in the used lot is plain dumb. Repeating races dozens and dozens of times just to get enough money/exp to get a car you need for the next race is not something that I ever had to do in the previous games.

I'm not even going to go into loading times, damage, AI issues because I can live with these things but this game is just too frustrating. I'm sure a lot of you can do the grind and continue pouring in countless hours but sadly this game only kept my interest for 1 month.

I thought the grand tour was pretty cool. The lambo was pretty loose but I had no problem getting bronze on the first try. I will go back later and try to take the gold but considering I had never saw the track before and it was dark in a loose car I did not feel to bad with bronze right off.

Nice effort. 👍
My very first run in the Lambo was "fun" despite grassing it several times...:guilty:
Jezz....I didn't even realise their were AI's involved till my second attempt. I have bronze, but will get back to improve on that.

But back to StogyBear,
Mate, I feel your pain. I've had many frustrating hours at my chair...:guilty:
And I agree, the night time at Toscana was pretty lame in my opinion....the fireworks I found very distracting...

I found the next leg, in the rally car worse, but that's probably just me....finally got a bronze in that today. :)
