Watch this:

I was stuck on 18.304 (with gold being 18.300) until I watched this and realised you don't have to break for the first corner; just let off the acceleration a little and throw the car into it. I also tapped the handbrake to help swing the car around the hairpins. I finally got gold with 18.292. Phew.

That's the last one I golded too.... solution was to set brakes to 4-10 if I remember correctly, and I seem to remember SRF being on, so you really need to milk that for all you can 👍

WOO HOOOOO! I finally golded IC-10 in the 512BB. Managed to overtake the black Lambo on the third sharp corner on the second lap. Considering pretty much all the YouTube videos I watched only overtook him on the last couple of corners I'm pretty chuffed. Don't know how I did it. I've saved the replay so will try to upload it.

Still got that damned cone slalom to do. Can someone come 'round and do it for me. Please?

These easiest ones for me to gold were the 2 lap driving tests ironically. (After the S-License). The hardest one is proving to be anything to do with La Sarthe, dirt, snow, or the Indy Hairpins.

Now the proud owner of 60 gold license trophies.

Yeah **** you stupid cones, I beatchu!

Is IC-10 the one with the Gallardo on Grand Valley? I spent 3 full days trying to beat that one, that car gets sooooo unstable on the braking up to the first corner. That license is the sole reason that I hate Grand Valley!

I only managed to gold the cone slaloms after getting a wheel, although I think if I'd spent more time I could've done them anyway. I think I've had more trouble with the Special Events, overall.

hehe, thanks for the tip! i finally got 18.297 after about 15 tries

Good luck, I'm trying to do the same thing myself, down to 3 to gold A-8, IA-1 and 2 are the ones giving me trouble

the test at the nurburgring gp/f in that stupid renault megane frustrated me

B-6 was much harder than any of the other National B tests, it took me a good while to finally get gold on that one.

I still think that IC-1 was the most challenging. I spent ages trying to get gold and only managed to do so by getting a time of 0:26.700.

The braking test licences were the most challenging for me, one of them (I can;t recall which) I actually tried using the handbrake numerous times to gold it  until eventually I somehow managed to gold it by 0.2 seconds , all about trial and error and a certain amount of luck for the braking tests.

All the others I didn't find 'that' difficult tbh, maybe a few took a few tries but there was nothing insanely hard in my opinion.

As per my signature, I have 59 Gold and cannot do that FR Cone slalom and have given up. I'm using a DS3, hoping it will be easier when I get my DFGT.
I'm very jealous Windlebut

I don't know what you guys are belly-aching about. Gold and bronze look almost alike...

The trick to the licencse ib3 (cones) is realizing that there is a straight line that you are weaving in and out of. I would also look ahead and not just concentrate on the cone in front of me, I would work up full speed and after about the 3rd cone let off a little on the throttle and then just before the second last cone I would floor it.

A friend of mine had trouble getting gold on that test using a DS3, it took him about 3 days before he finally nailed it. The thing is, I never had any problems whatsoever getting gold on the FR Cone Slalom using a DS3. It took me no more than 10 minutes actually.

Also, my friend was able to get gold on IC-1 (DB9 1000m Stopping Challenge) with relative ease, but as I said in my previous post, I spent absolutely ages trying to get gold on the same test.

I felt as though I would never gold that slalom test and kept watching Dan Holland's full throttle run with disbelief but after awhile I found it easier to go faster; the tyres seem to grip more if you're giving it more throttle. I also set steering sensitivity to 7, whereas I normally just leave it at 0. I found this helped.

It must've taken me well over a hundred re-tries but it's worth persevering with. I'll try to upload my replay...

EDIT: Okay, recording replays seems way too much faff. Tried with an iPhone and the quality was shocking, plus saved replays cut the end off. What's the point in that? The end is the most important bit 'cause it shows what time you got.
