Hey,

I love to drive on the Nordschleife, but I always use RWD cars.
So I want to try out a few FWD cars on the 'Ring.
I was thinking about the Golf GTI, Megane RS and Civic (or Integra) Type R...
But I hardly ever use FWD cars, so I don't know if they are any good (and fun).

What FWD car, preferably a stock hatchback/hot hatch, do you like to drive with?

Thomas

Do you mean really mean "Hatch back" or do you actually mean "Hot Hatch"

I mean "Hot Hatch".
Are hot hatches not just hatchbacks with some more power etc.?

A "Hatch back" is essentially any car that has a hatched boot lid. A Celica and a Supra are hatch back coupes for example.
In saying that, a 'hatch back' like what you're looking for is still called a hatch back at the end of the day  just knowing what you're actually after is helpful.

Uhh.. I don't know as I don't really drive FF hatches, however the premium Renault is a good bit of fun :)

The most fun FF car I've driven on the Nordschleife has always been the Honda Civic EG6. It's so light and agile. It has an amazing gearbox for that track in stock form, even only at 5-speed. It has under 200hp but weights under 1000kg. Think of it as the Elise of FF's. The Honda DC2 Integra is faster because it has a bigger engine as does the DC5. But the EG6 is shameless fun in stock form as it also has a 1.5 way LSD stock*. And did I mention VTEC!? It has amazing drafting and over-revving potential. My favorite FF of all time. Real life and in-game. 👍

The most fun stock hatchback?

That honor goes to the RenaultSport Clio V6.

Thanks for all the help! :)
I will try all of the suggested cars.

What do you guys think of the premium Civic Type R (EK9)?

Meh.. It's not bad. In my opinion the Renault Megane (Premium version) is really good, I bought that for one particular race but I've ended up using it for a lot more. It's a really fun thing to drive: Nice handling, smooth ride, you can't go wrong really.

I really dig the EK Civic Race Modified. It's nimble and nice and loud. With a good set of headphones it screams. Fun on any tires-I like it on CS.

Corvette Z06. :sly:

Seriously though, I like the Toyota Vitz (premium) on Nurburgring. Bone stock, it's so much fun.

I like the Volvo C30. It's like a more powerful lighter Focus ST. Could do with a better transmission though. Other than that my favourites are the 2004 Integra DC5, the Fiat Coupe Turbo Plus and any Mitsubishi FTO.

Oops! Can't forget the 1979 Honda Civic now, can I?

Peugeot 205 T16, Ford RS200, or the Renault 5. 👍

:edit: Just realized you want FWD. I'm not big on FWD, especially with stock setups, but I do like the Spoon Integra and Civic.

Toyota Starlet Glanza V, Toyota Corolla Runx Z Aerotourer, Toyota Vitz/Yaris RS Turbo and Honda CR-X SiR.

Hmmm... My normal choice would be the Honda 1300 Coupe 9 '70, but as it's not a hatchback (is FWD though...)

I'd go with the Volvo C30 R-Design (with transmission upgrade as the only thing done to it), Honda CR-X SiR, Mitsubishi Mirage Cyborg, or the premium Vitz.

Well the Trial Celica is my favourite stock FWD and espacially at Nordschleife !!
It´s probably not the Car your looking for (coupe) but atleast it´s FWD :D

Apart from that the Premium Ford Focus is superb. Has a great Engine with good Torque
=> good out of corners.

Premium Golf V Gti also a very nice drive here.

And from my view all Civics are great. Maybe the oldest ones aren´t that fast but still have great handling.
It´s one of the fastest FWD´s in GT5.

Scirroco is superb because it´s great in Real.

Try the Dodge SRT-4. Thats an Engine :D even stock it´s brutal :D Handling is quite good too.

Ford Focus ST has always been one of my favorite FF cars, and it behaves amazingly in both Nurburgring and Suzuka
