The problem is that the Veyron really doesn't handle worth a crap, so every single post that's ever been made that criticizes the Veyron for it's poor performance are right on the mark. Air conditioning, air bags, iPod docks, and all that crap are nice but they don't mean great track performance. The Veyron might be great for a creature-comfort-mobile, but not in terms of track performance. Nobody is criticizing the Veyron for lack of creature comforts but for inability to corner as well as other high-end cars.
The Veyron's poor cornering abilities speak for themselves. When you take into consideration that the thing has anywhere from "more horsepower" to "way, way more horsepower" and a much higher top speed than other cars at the top of the Power Board, the Veyron really should be beating the competition by several seconds and not by just fractions of a second, let alone being beaten by cars, especially as in the case with the base Veyron.
So, if the Veyron has so much power, such a high top speed, and rapid acceleration, why does it not beat the other top-performing cars by several seconds? The obvious answer is that it loses in the corners. Underperfoming in the corners is where people criticize it, and every single post that anybody has ever made about the matter have always been right on the mark. It really does suck in corners. Rather than being beaten by the Ariel Atom 500 by almost two full seconds and only barely beating cars like the Gumpert Apollo or Ascari A10 by less than half a second, the Veyron Super Sport really should be beating them all by several seconds. It doesn't because it's a wagon-load of turds in corners.
Let's also not forget that the Power Board actually excludes several non-race cars because of nitpicky things like not sitting high enough to drive over a "sleeping policeman", and these cars also beat the Veyron Super Sport by several seconds, despite having less power and lower top speeds. The difference is cornering ability, and the Veyron undeniably lacks it.
Defending the Veyron as being a super-fast creature-comfort vehicle with comfy seats, stereo, sat-nav, and so forth doesn't change the fact that it still performs poorly in corners, relative to other supercars that perform in more ways than just top-end speed.
