This is a Time Attack competition that runs endlessly until all events have been done and over with. It is one of the most effective ways to compete with others without dealing with timezone constraints, and it is also a passive way to compete since any player can fit this into their weekly schedule however way suits them best. It's a drop-in casual comp, so there is no obligation to keep playing nor is this a rule stating you can't rejoin at any time. Competitions have been proven to drive players to master the game; learning new techniques and further developing their knowledge and understanding about the game's mechanics. While it is a competition, I personally must stress that you shouldn't allow yourself to be drawn away should you meet more skilled players. This is the opportunity to improve at this game, so don't hesitate to ask for any tips or advice on setting faster times.

HOW IT WORKS:
-One event will be randomly selected, and your job is to set your fastest time on it. Once one event is over, another will be replacing it immediately after.
-The deadline for every event will be Mondays 12pm EST. (GMT-5)

HOW TO PARTICIPATE:
-Simply play the game under the same conditions (i.e. designated event, car, mod, etc.), and set the best time you can get at.
-To submit a time, report back in this thread that you've set a new record. Please don't edit an old post or I might miss it. At the same time, don't create a new post if the most recent post in this thread is yours.
-Your submission MUST include all the following detail and I strongly encourage you follow this format as closely as possible:
HIGHLY Encouraged Format
Time - Car Name (Tires, Nitrous, Chassis, Body, Transmission)
So a sample submission would look similar to this
3:14.06 - McLaren MP4-12C (Off-Road, Powershot Pro, Lightweight Pro, Aero, Stock Gears)

You may consult this legend at it will be used primarily.
LEGEND
P = "Pro" (tagged behind each abbreviation where it applies)

ST = Stock Tires
OT = Offroad Tires
TT = Track Tires
RT = Reinflating Tires

BN = Burn Nitrous
PN = Powershot Nitrous

SC = Stock Chassis
LC = Lightweight Chassis
RC = Reinforced Chassis

SB = Stock Body
AB = Aero Body
IP = Impact Protection Body

DG = Stock Gears ("Default Gears")
LG = Long Gears
SG = Short Gears

RULES:
-Unless restrictions are stated, there is no rule to what car or mods you choose to use or how you use it.
-All players will be playing through these events in offline single player mode.
-Your submitted time cannot be a rounded time. Include every single digit you see on your screen.
-There is no limit to how many records you wish to submit.
-Your submissions MUST INCLUDE ALL REQUIRED DETAILS OR IT WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
-Proof of records is not mandatory, but should you be asked for it, please provide it.
-Only PS3 and PC players are allowed to participate, because XBOX players have an advantage using Kinect's voice commands. Sorry, guys.
-Should you be caught cheating, obviously you will be banned from taking part. Any unfair in-game exploits can be discussed in here.

The game is simple, let's play fair and honest, there's no prize for winning, nothing happens if you win, nothing happens if you lose. Let's play!

Damn, and there I was struggling to break you 3:08, and now you turned it into a 3:01. :lol: Good thing to have the mods in here, I noticed the game doesn't always show them correctly in game.

I've been meaning to ask how you guys choose to tackle that intersection that comes after the lighthouse.... I've tried turning into the docks and coming smooth out into the intersection, or taking the regular route without drifting into the intersection.

I drift like I did for heavy cars in BP. Let off gas, brake & e-brake. I usually make the corner doing over 100MPH or just understeer into the drift.

Also it seems the SL65's Burn Nitrous is more powerful than the MP4-12C's. It reaches 200MPH easily without the mod pro'd. I say this because the MP4-12C dominates the SL65 in every stat except the last two.

But are you drifting the right bend, and then handbraking the corner? I'm using the handbrakes too, but I get inconsistent results from it. Sometimes I understeer because I didn't let go of the gas or sometimes I held the brakes for too long.

I drift into it at 190MPH+ then usually while I'm still sideways wipe it back the other way with the e-brake to make that evil corner.

Anyway, I bucked up a little on my run. I can't do the divided road section right & at the end I bounced off the repair shop.

When the road divides, I switch to Burn and run that for a bit, switch back to Powershot, and use the rest of the turns to build up nitrous for the left turn into the path along the building for a shot there. I've yet to find a need to change the chassis or body on the go.

USA Baby!!! Beat that Babs! Anyways the LFA might be able to compete with the Viper if it's not complete asre with Off-roads tyres the way the MP4-12C is. The Vette to on that note.

Going off-topic there AOS? You can talk to Spoil-t, he knows I didn't copy you.

Anyways on topic, I'm curious why you need off-road tires at all. The only place where you need to go off-road is at the turn mentioned above, but you slow down so much anyways it would make the improvement null.

Funny, the Viper had my best score before this competition. I just assumed it was because I didn't crash the one time I played it, and for all the rest of the cars I did. Maybe there's a reason why I did so well with it.

I sacrificed the acceleration for less control. Less control gives you wider drifts which is a preference.

I think people are going to not play because of you two guys... you're setting the bar too high too soon. :(

Well the Track Tyres gave a minuscule acceleration boost & a meh control boost. Now the Viper had the worst offroad stat of the group but slapping offroad tyres on her made a big improvement meaning I could cut thru the dirt on some corners without a MAJOR slow down. The MP4-12C just drove so horrible with the Offroad tyres I couldn't set a good time at all but the Viper drove alright with them on.

I think people are going to not play because of you two guys... you're setting the bar too high too soon. :(
We are setting a goal for them. ;) Besides we are still fresh in this game so we ain't even near our best yet. Look at HP3 dude, when we started that EOTW till the end we became complete monsters at the game.

Maybe we should split this into a Lower and Upper League. Everyone can participate in the Lower League, but the more skilled players are encouraged to play in the Upper League. Perhaps that will allow more players to enjoy playing here.

WHAT DOES EVERYONE ELSE THINK?

Personally I would like that. I have been hesitant to post my time because I was 50 seconds off and I didn't have many mods. Plus I can never get a clean run.

I wouldn't expect to get it down in a few tries all the time, I probably have to retry at least 10 times before I get something I'm satisfied with. But again, you should be here to learn, not to simply try and win. The 3 on the scoreboard currently can give you huge advice if you really want, especially if you get a recording of you playing.

But don't fret, post a time anyway. Maybe that'll bring more people in.

I'm about a quarter way to 100 myself. Funny thing is only like 10 runs were full ones. I restart as soon as I crash or effe up big.

We're trying something new.

The Hunted > Bentley Continential only

43.25

Tips on losing cops faster: Drive in dirt areas where the path to follow you requires tighter corners. Cops have a hard time following on dirt. Also, when you reach cooldown, find a place far enough that cops can't reach you in time, or hide somewhere. Stop, and hit L3- your ignition button- to turn off the car. This speeds up cooldown dramatically. Painting your car is also effective after you hit cooldown.

Biggest tip: Don't continue driving up the factory.

I'm not doing Ambushes or vehicle only things. Ambushes are solely luck depended & vehicle only events are hard to do because there's noway to track your best time if the car isn't the best choice for the race.

You're being butthurt already... look how competitive you got last game and look how fast you're objecting the idea.

It is hella amusing as a player and disappointing as someone I've played with.

Play for fun, dumbdumb.
:P

Ambushes really made me mad going thru the cars. I would be 1 bar tick away from evading when a cop random spawns close seeing me. Remember how well cop events went over in the HP3 EOTW? Not well at all.

Car restricted events should be done after we exhausted the race list.

Ambushes really made me mad going thru the cars.

Your problem; you just don't want to lose. I'm trying to encourage other people to play so go do something else if you're not going to play this week.

Oh, there are routes to take that will generally work. That's what you should explore instead of expecting everything to go your way.

Spoiled-B
Car restricted events should be done after we exhausted the race list.

Do it now or do it later, eventually it will be done, so it doesn't matter too much.

W/e ASS- It's only gonna be your one time done ass & maybe Babs on this one. Also no one else is gonna do this thing because they are all to scare to look suck ass.

Two too many @$$es there buddy, and they were misplaced as well.

I'm okay with ambush. Getting under a minute is always my goal. I don't know why we are restricting the vehicle choice though. If the event has Raptor and Atom as the choices then yea, but most of the time the cars are around the same stats and the small stat difference won't matter much as escaping will come down to the cops more than the car we choose.

Sorry I couldn't play more last week. Black Friday weekend was my free time.
