It's going to be yeah.
The left piston ring was worn, and so it was getting blowby from the expansion chamber, and it melted the front of the piston. The right side was perfect.
So we thought that we needed new barrels, then we realized that it had been raced before, and was sleeved, so all we have to do is replace the sleeves.
The next round is in Quebec, so I don't think that we're going because the drive would be 8-10 hours, it would cost too much.
But there are 2 more events this year that we are going to.
We picked up an FZR400 to be more competitive, but it won't be ready in time, so the RZ gets one final race before we convert it back to street spec and sell it.
Yeah exactly.
The fastest bikes in my class were doing 140-150mph down the backstraight, so when they go by you at 20-30mph you know that you need something with bit more power. (Plus it helps to have a Deltabox frame.)
We'll be able to get more for the RZ than we paid for though.

Would be fun the see the differences between the two cylinder and head.
Haha I agree. But the basic design of the CRF230's engine is pretty much identical to that of the 200X. Which I'm guessing why they sound identical.
In fact, it's really common to swap CRF230/XR200 engines on to 200X frames. The CRF230 is actually just a revamped/modernized XR200 with electric start and front disc brake. And the XR200 is basically the bike version of the 200X with a few slight differences.
