What's your favourite motorcycle?

I'm in love with the '04/05 Yamaha R1, then again the new CBR1000RR's aren't any less monsters. 👍

As far as I know, right now the Suzuki GSX line is the fastest, most racing oriented bike you can get.

In the 600 cc class, Honda's F4i rules because it has a more comfortable riding position for the daily grind.

Personally, I like sport-tourers. The Yamaha FJR1300 looks tempting, but I like the Honda Interceptor better, although it verges into GT category. This bike has a V-4 with VTEC (2 valves/cylinder at low RPM, 4 valves/cylinder at high RPM).

P. S. I'm never gonna get a bike, I'll kill myself on it.

I saw the topic and I was just about to post a VTR pic but he got the intercepto up there and I don't want to sit and load a similar bike.....but...
I LIKE VTR'S!
...oh well..

I really like the look of the new CBR1000RR's and how can I forget the wonderful Hayabusa.👍

I've had a bit of a go on my friend's CBR954RR a few months ago, which is pretty much the only bike I've ridden in at least 5-6 years. Definitively the fastest motorized thing I've ever been at the controls of, although I can only critisize the fact that the front end gets a tad light at 250+ km/h...

As far as my all time favorite bikes;

The Honda NR750 not only looked good, it was a technological marvel, being the first (and only, I believe) motorcycle with oval pistons.

The Ducati 916 is a favorite of mine because it defines what a motorcycle should look like, nevermind sound.

Then there are the full on race bikes, like the Honda NSR500, the RC211V and the RC45/51, but those are for another time... :p

I have a 1:24 model of that bike, love it. 👍 You make 250km/h sound like it's nothing.

The new Kwack ZX10R is by far the most evil of the new literbikes... And it's green - I'll take one...

But the bike I lust for in my dreams are a built 1993 ZXR750R as ridden by Scott Russell when he won the WSB

It's not much of a bike compared to these other ones but I'm saving my money on a Suzuki GS500 or a GS500-F. The only difference is that the F has a full body fairing on it while the standard gs500 is naked.

I'd go with a faster bike but frankly, the amount of power in some of these thngs is outright scary for a person whose never ridden before. More than likely, i'll be getting a gs500 b/c the price for a used one is roughly $4500 canadian and the look is good - plus I can buy the fairings for it later on.

Anyone have suggestions for a good bike for a first timer?

My dad's old ZX10. Had clutch, cams, tires, getting ready for a s/c, carb kit, and a bunch of other stuff. Says he has had it up to 175 or so...too bad he totalled it when i was like 2....He has a old 2 plate kevlar clutch somewhere in this here house....My mom said my chances of getting a bike are none. Darn...LOl My dream bike would be this or a Hayabusa....

I like that Buel, Slick. 👍 A few weeks ago while me and my friend were out cruising around we went past the local Buel/Harley Davidson dealership and a guy on one of those bikes is pulling out. He does a burnout and then pulls out and next to us. I talk to him saying "nice bike" and "nice burnout" etc.. He says thanks and starts to rev the engine. WHen the light turns green, he GUNS it! WOT all the way through the top of 3rd gear.
