I am interested to know what actually happened to the Ferrari for years already
What happened with the front?
AutosportFerrari is investigating why one of its F399 chassis tore in half during an accident in a historic race at Laguna Seca in the United States. Technical director Ross Brawn said: We have got the car back at the factory and we are looking at it. Although its the same model as the one Michael had his accident in [at Silverstone in 1999], its a very different sort of accident. In Michaels he had a front impact and the wheel came back into the cockpit and thats what broke his leg. With this one as far as I understand the car went backwards into a barrier and the wheel became stuck in the barrier as the car spun around it, putting a tensile load on the car. The 99 Ferrari was torn in half.
Not sure if repost, this ones not as big as I remember it, but it just popped into my head..
This is two years before he crashes into the safety car, at the same track.
Wait, that was Engstler right?
They were teammates. Darn, I must be sleepy. Regardless, I guess the whole BMW team has bad luck.
To be honest, though, I still dislike that crash.. It seemed all too convenient, that a Chevy pace car would take out the only BMW between a Chevy top-3, or whatever ended up happening. Foul play? I think so.
EDIT: Yeah, I think Farfus had damage to his car during that race. Couldn't remember much but it was a BMW crash fest. Haha!
Fancied a nap?!Yeah, inattention by the black car, but why on earth did the guy in the red car stop???

I looked closely at how he was shifting, & I never saw a stick that can shift either up or down in either direction. How does that actually work?
It's called an H-Pattern gearbox. You've probably never heard of them.
