My earliest motorsport memory is below. 2003 EA Sports 500, September 28, 2003. We had tuned in just in time to see this happen.

Likewise, here is mine. Happened in the first 5 minutes I ever spent watching an automobile race. Probably wouldn't be here right now had it not happened.

Imagine being in one of the cars behind Newman's and seeing his car lift up into the air, knowing that that could have been you.

And likewise, here is my first racing memory from the TV:

BTCC 2004, first BTCC meet I watched live on Motors, had watched odd and sods of 2003 on ITV. But 2004 got me hooked. Is it really 10 years come easter next april?

Yes, it is. I'm only 14 and I can't believe how much of my life has been BTCC. I remember most of the 2004 season, Oulton in particular, and one of the oldest memories I have is of Chilton's Lego Star Wars Civic. On another note, the 2004 Computeach/Halfords Civics still run on and off. I saw them in Time Attack last year, and I think they do a bit of club racing as well.

Surprised this hasn't made it here yet:

One of the most intense displays of racing talent I've ever seen. Robert Kubica destroys this rally stage, wins by over 20 seconds. Lights fall off the car while he's driving in the dark, in the wet, dodges a house, enjoy.

Skill and luck, Kubica driving a new car for him couldn't find the switch to turn off the errant light that was blinding him. Imagine if he haven't had the problem, the gap would've been bigger. Keeping calm in moments like this makes him amazing.

Skill and luck

And the third thing needed in rallying. Massive balls.

I think Kubica has the talent to do well in rallying, on a par with Kimi but RK's attitude means he is more likely to make a success out of it.

Evans vs Kubica could be one of the most exciting development battles of 2014, very exciting 👍

Are bother drivers confirmed ok? It might be considered bad taste if it hasn't been confirmed yet.

Both in hospital, conscious, Memo Gidley (red DP) may have leg injuries however.

I really hope both drivers involved in the big Rolex 24 crash will be okay. Never want to see a bad crash, much less a driver injury. The year 2014 for motorsports is not off to a good start, and that better not be a bad omen. Better than a death, but as I said, you never want to see such crashes.

They're both okay, Gidley had fractures in one arm, a leg and in his back, but nothing serious.
Malucelli only had minor stuff, so it should be okay to post it.
