Boss 302 racing teams protesting SCCA World Challenge parity rulings

The frustration of the Mustang teams came to a head this past weekend at Mid-Ohio when their quickest car finished in 10th place in Saturday's race. To compound their problems, seven of the Mustang race cars had overheating issues, a problem that the teams say is due to the small air restrictors mandated for the Mustang by the SCCA. Tiger Racing experienced two engine failures, while another driver experienced temperatures so high in the cabin that the rubber soles of his shoes melted.

Must be nice having the rubber soles of your shoes melt.

I don't know how he won..

His car must be a beast and the other guy must of let off...

I guess there's no disqualification for leaving your lane.

I was wondering about that, but I came to that conclusion too.

.... Which was you only get DQ for crossing the lane in front of the rival car, which he did not

Watchin' the Continental Tire Challenge Indy Race and one of the Mustangs hit the wall coming onto the front straight...and an RV on the outside of the front straight caught on fire...as one of the competitors said: "I wanna know how the Mustang hit the wall and started the fire on the outside of the track."

Paul Dallenbach's throttle sticks wide open during the Pikes Peak hill climb on Sunday and he goes straight off into the trees. He's been released from the hospital and is OK.

Warning: slight language warning. (word gets cut off though)

I disagree. NASCAR requires a very different driving style to V8 Supercars. NASCAR - at least on road courses - is all about maintaining momentum through the corners, so the drivers take some very unconventional driving lines, like when they openly and intentionally run wide and use the tarmac run-off as an extension of the circuit. V8 Supercars aren't allowed to do that. They follow a much more traditional, conventional racing line.

I must say, it's nice to know he's entirely capable of crashing without taking another driver with him.

Edit: Also, that NASCAR finish is excellent. I quite enjoy watching NASCAR but they really need more road courses if the action is like that...

The reason that finish was so excellent was the fact that some car was dumping oil everywhere, so on road courses they need to lube up the track during the race.

Jeremy Foley walked away, co-driver had a dislocated shoulder 👍

(can't believe all the "WOWing" in the background)

Holy crap.. Hope they're okay.
