Well, there's that, but it's not what I'm thinking of. I don't know if you've been following this thread, but I haven't exactly set easy questions before, and this is no different.
 
Vague question. All debuted in the 2000s, all european... can we have a hint as to what particular area the answer is in?

All have driven for german engines at some point, none of them entered the 1998 Argentinian Grand Prix, Queen Victoria never knew them...

Now there are plenty of GPs that none of them entered but their F1 careers began to overlap in 2007, so it could be an F1 race since then where none of them started. Or not.

Something to do with the 2007 European Grand Prix. Or not.

The thing that they have in common might be something that they have done or something that they have not done. But (and I assumed that this was a given) it happened when all three were racing. So stop looking at races that they did not enter and start looking at races that they did enter.
 
All of their first wins were in Canada?
Never mind, Vettel's first win wasnt in Canada. And idk what Alonso's first win was.

They have never all been on the podium together. I did actually check so this is true, but I don't know if this is what you were looking for.
 
My question will either be extremely easy, or extremely difficult. Given that I've asked two questions so far and none have been answered, I fear it is the latter.

Prost in '84? Had the Monaco race continued long enough to give full points, he would have beaten Lauda.
 
Fangio being kidnapped costing him the...1958 championship? Or at least the chance to defend it. He only raced twice that year; France and Argentina.

Hawthorn died not long after winning. But that's being robbed of the chance to defend the title, not the title itself.

Peter Collins having his car commendeered in 1956? Collins had the chance to win the title for Ferrari in '56 but Fangio's car was broken so he 'stole' Collins' car and won his 4th title.

EDIT: Probably not after I read the previous page, but that's still the worst way for an individual driver to cheat his rival out of the title :dopey:
 
Sadly, it's not Hill. One hint I can offer. My question was very carefully worded. Why?
 
Since you've specified Grand Prix and not F1, I'm going to say Hermann Paul Müller, who was leading the Grand Prix world championship when WWII broke out, but was never gifted the title, or able to compete for it. Herman Lang got it instead.

Edit: Or maybe just Herman Lang, since the result was never declared official. I'm swotting up on wikipedia here so I'm learning as I go...
