Well, I have been through the whole mudding/rock crawling and would like to say a few words on topic.
First off, the sport can be extremely fun and it has a huge risk, although most don't see it. I rolled my Landcruiser FJ40 (It looks a ton like an oversized Jeep Wrangler, due to in part the Jeep was modeled after it, in a smaller platform.) Anywho, I was lucky not to have been killed, but the consequences of the roll were in place with a few cuts, scrapes, bruises, and a minor concussion (sp?) from a toolbox on the head.
The best things to add to any rocker are the following:
1. a DECENT Roll cage (no need for explanation) and seatbelts attached to it (so you don't go through the cage.)
2. A NON-PLASTIC BUMPER SETUP, preferably steel tubing, box or round doesn't matter.
3. Rocker panel plating, like what I think 1mic has. (The black metal strip bolted to the lower rocker panels under the door.
4. Winch, for those I'm rocking alone moments.
5. Partner, for any rocking moment.
6. Hi-Lift jack, because the stock one is meant for your driveway, not mud.
7. Lockers, (locking differentials double your traction if you only are running stock.) these will get all wheels spinning all the time.
1mic, here's what I'd do with what you have.
1. Steel bumpers (Get ones that are beefy and can house a winch up front) Might as well add the rocker panel covers in this one, cause you have them.
2. Winch (9000 lbs or better, and Warn is warrantied for a hella long time)
3. Roll Cage with 5 point harness belts.
4. 6" Tera-Flex lift
5. 35" Goodyear Wrangler MT's on 15" American Racing Beadlocks
6. Detroit Locker in the rear, ARB air-locker up front.
7. Extra lighting on front bumper.
8. Larger mudflaps
9. Large doses of mud and rocks
10. FUN!
