That can happen if it struggles to load content on a page more than once. On my other computer which I never use when I load GTplanet it will crash multiple times and come up with that message, I am not sure why but I dont really care either.

Mine was doing this at least 3 times a day for no reason. I upgraded to Opera and it's miles better. 👍

It was an usual situation for my bestfriend coz he never close any tab he wanted to.
Suprisingly, more than 60++ TAB:eek::eek::eek: he kept (WORLD'S HIGHEST number of tabs, maybe), and simply restore it all when this happened:crazy:(?!?!).

Well, this is an embarrassing 'record'.

Probably is because of the Japanese coding from those Nissan sites.

Firefox just threw a seven here... it automatically updated and now it runs too slowly to be of any use. I couldn't find a fix without losing the will to live, and so I have now switched to Google Chrome. Any ideas why Firefox suddenly doesn't work?

Have you tried reinstalling with the new version? I've never had anything like that happen before with FF. My only problem with FF right now is all the extra memory FF uses up because of the out of process thing they added with the latest version. Instead of FF using 100-200MB now it uses up 250-400MB. Hopefully its gets better with FF4.0 Beta that's suppose to be out soon.

I experience this sometimes... The last time my FF crashed was 3 days ago when browsing through GTP and it sent me to that message after it's back up. Still no problems until today but that's common after FF crashed. FF teams better fix this crash problem...

What version are you guys having problems with? My 3.6.4 has been running just fine and is currently using 175 megs. Scratch that - it's down to 92 megs.

3.6.4... was working no problem until the update this morning, but now it's well and truly gimped...

This little incident, seems to only occur on my desktop. Might be, since the desktop gets our high speed wireless internet, but it works like dial-up. Firefox probably times out by then.

No idea what is going on - I reinstalled Firefox, disabled all plug-ins and add-ons, and have done everything I can find on the internet, but to no avail...

I'm staggered that something as important as my daily web browser can suddenly go from working perfectly to not working - seriously bad show for Firefox, since I'm now having to use another browser which, I have to say, I'm pretty happy with.

Oh well - so long Firefox, is was nice knowing you.

This slow down started happening to me on the Mac version about a month back, it gradually got slower and slower each day until it simply wouldn't load pages in less that 10 seconds, even when in the cache. I switched to Opera but small issues bugged me so I'm on Safari 5 now, seriously fast.

Firefox is only using 125meg right now out of 512. It doesnt run slow for me at all and I am on a laptop that is a good 5 years old.

All the rowsers have this problem, a memory leak. Chrome has it too.. in fact chrome works best on Ubuntu than windows. Ao I switched to Opera.... orgasmic. :P

It still works fine with me, althogh I had a bit of glitch where it doesn't want to show my right click.

I've been using Firefox for 4 years until today and so far this is the best that I have ever use. If anyone knows ''Flock'' it uses the same engine and interface as Firefox and even built by Firefox but it's still slower. I might change to something else if it becomes suckish someday

I am actually realising more and more about what you guys are on about as I have been using this over the last few days. Over the last few days it has been running so slowly, it has been taking for ever to load from the cache (it literally says it is fetching data from cache) and the pages are generally running slower.

I am going to Japan for two weeks tomorrow, if it runs slow on their internet then I will change to chrome I think, I have heard alot of good things about it.

I've got 3.6.4 and it hasn't done anything wrong since it came out but there is an update available at the moment called 3.6.6

Is this the update that has caused you problems?

I use Firefox for everything except GTPlanet for which I use Safari :) and the Eurosport Player for which I have to use IE. :grumpy: if I want to watch the HD stream.

I assume that Mozilla became aware of any problems with 3.6.4 quite quickly, as it has been updated twice in the last few days. I'm running 3.6.6 now, and haven't had any trouble.

I'll give it a bash and try a new reinstall... my work computer coped with the update no problem, which leads me to believe that the true culprit is my dodgy amazing laptop, which has being doing weird things absolutely nothing wronj recently

Oddly enough, I just updated my laptop to 3.5.10 today. I have 3.6.. on my desktop but when it screwed up my Persona settings I decided not to put it on my laptop.

Do you use a lot of add-ons? I've found that when Firefox updates, the add-ons can cause real problems with it, even if they say they are compatible.

You could create a fresh profile, and compare its performance with that of your original profile to see if there are problems with your add-ons. I use this method regularly to debug problems with incompatible, or conflicting add-ons, and it works pretty well. 👍

Never had that message.

My firefox only takes up 80-120MB of RAM (With 4 tabs open, one streaming youtube, two on GTP one on BBC news), how are you guys getting 200+? :odd:

Bad addons and long browsing sessions I presume. Using lots of RAM isn't really a problem these days, if it gets a bit high then I just restart the browser (It keeps the same tabs) and that can help.

Edit: 3 tabs, been running for over an hour is currently 123mb, if I restart it is: 78mb.
