I need an amp. I want Ray Samuels to release his damn Hornet already. I'm so getting one.

Have you guys ever tried amping your portables? it makes such a difference...and it's a given for big headphones like I own.

will it make a difference to earphones?.

It will... not by much.

If my brain was working, I could get into technicalities but it isn't... and school is tomorrow. Lovely..

Amps should make it sound better... portables seem like crap on high end cans... line out on the iPod Dock and into an amp and you're good to go ho.

It really depends on what kind of earphones your using. If your using iPod iBuds then no it won't make much of a difference. Headphone amps are built for more higher end headphones like Sennheiser, Grado, AKG, Beyerdynamic, etc... Headamps are also nice on higher end canalphones. :)

^ Power to the ED21's!!

IMO these seem a very underated, may even go as far as to say unheard of earphone around the net. I have a pair and always thought they sounded great (have developed a bit of a buzzing problem. Most likely due to me using whilst working at pizza hut with ground cornmeal and flour which has probably ended up inside them.

I've replaced them with the ever popular EX71's and am not impressed, plenty of bass (which i personally like in an earphone) but also too much trebble. The neckband type cord is a real b*tch as it causes the weight of the cord and extension plug (giving the choice of either too long or too short BTW) to all be concentrated on one side (uncomfortable?....Very!) and on top of all that the cord has totally went to **** anyway. the rubber sheath has torn and split leaving the wires sticking out and exposed in multiple places. All within 2 weeks of owning them :irked:

I'm going to try and take them back tomorrow and at least get a replacement pair, if they don't allow an actual refund. I may even cut my losses and get a new pair of 21's which cost £10 less!!

Do you also hate when your little screen moves from its position with the iSkin? I think it's a bit annoying. When I take it out of my pocket the screen is always out of its position.

Nobody got a nano yet?

My friend bought a mini, but she absolutely hated it. When she took it back, the Mini's were sold out and out of production. She got the creative instead. If she waited just 2 or 3 more days, the Nano would have been hers :p

I've got an iPod Photo 60gig.

I only put about 10 pics on it, it has about 3800 songs on it at the moment, and it's only at 35% capacity.

Lol no not relly had that problem. you sure you have got it the correct way round with the raised bit pointing outwards? but ive never had it come out of place yet.

yeh i love the ED21's ive always used them for everything since i got a pair with the old Sharp 702 MD player/recorder, and i never looked back as far as in-ear phones go they have always been the best for my ear, but as soon as i got the i pod i tried the Grados on it and wow what a big difference grnated they need an external amp so i can crank it up but with them plugged raw into the mini they are great if you are sat in the house or outside.

Ive got an ipod 4g 20gb......I wish I had bought something else though.......although I do like itunes and the ui on the ipod.....

You have both?!
Yep, I had the H320 and realised I had too much data (the matrix is a very big avi file) so I got the H340 for music and use the H320 for video. :)

I love the H300 series, it looks great and preforms well

If you've got the original DVD and you want to make a smaller copy, get a program called AutoGK. It's very simple to use and you can specify a filesize to re-encode the DVD to (either a specific size (e.g. 926MB) or one of the built in standard (e.g. 1 CD (700MB), 2CDs (1400MB))).

I have a mate who's getting a nano soon. He's gay, kind of explains the nano really :p

Sorry j/k.

Is it me or in the adds does the screen look too small to be read?

You can put a 60 gb drive in the '340

Thanks for the tip, I might try that if I run low on space.
Just go to misticriver.net for some advice on that stuff.
