well my friend has an ipod and it blows...non-replaceable battery...you have to be so careful you don't break it. Not to mention it's way too expensive. Sure you get to put an innumerable amount of songs on it, but who needs that many songs all the time?

Apple offers an iPod battery replacement service. You mail them the iPod, they replace the battery and send it back.

And I don't see what you mean by "You have to be so careful not to break it"....what are you doing, chucking it at walls or something? :odd:

Nobody needs any music at all. I like and want every song I can at my disposal.

My ipod is fantamastical! :)

Even though my songs only take up about 1.05-1.07GB :|

I've been thinking of buying one when I have the money. I have so many other things to buy.

The player would be really handy. When travelling you could take it wherever you want 'cause it's so small. And you don't have to waste money on CD's, just take the music from the internet. MUST BUY ONE!!1!
Or buy the CDs and rip at lossless quality...

I heard that replacement costs up to 100 bucks. Correct me if I'm wrong.

no, they cheapened the replacement after massive complaints about it. It still doesn't make the ipod worth even a fraction of what people pay for it. You get almost zero bang for the buck. Not to mention poor sound quality (in comparison to my iRiver), a disturbingly weak amp and almost no features that don't require third party accessories.

Yeah, I've been shopping around for an MP3 player for a while now. It's hard to decide, b/c there are so many to choose from.

It would make things a lot more convenient for me, instead of burning a new mix CD every couple of days. And it's not fun lugging around my walkman either. I need my music or I'll start throwing things at people.

I cant stand that creative one, Im the proud owner of a 40 gig iPod and to me that thing just seems so ****ing chunky and tacky. (a mate of mine has one)

At first i was like "this was a bit of a waste..." but then i just borrowed heaps of CDs from my friends and i now have about 17gb of music. I also use it as an organiser

My friend has one thats about as big as two pens side by side (2/3 as long) and it only holds 256mb. What are some good little pocket size ones that have at least 1gig. How much are they?
