Got to see a ZR1X at the 2026 NYIAS, it really looks cool, especially with the “Stars & Steel” package. The new Grand Sport was there, too, as well as both the CX and CX.R VGT! I think the ZR1X on display even had carbon fiber wheels, too. I definitely would bet that some of the higher-ups at Pratt & Miller already have at least one ZR1X between them…

I can’t for the life of me understand who is buying $250k Corvettes, especially in the current economy. But yay Nurburgring times or whatever.

I pretty much checked out a few years ago when Z06 prices released. Something made me look today so I made a car equivalent to my 2019 minus the transmission (3LZ w/Z07, blue paint, black wheels, competition seats, blue stitching, red belts, carbon fiber dash). MSRP is a full $51k more. I technically make a lot more money than in 2018 but I would never. The spirit of corvette is absolutely dead.

Yeah the Vette is definitely a different animal now. Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if discussion of having the C9 on a carbon monocoque took place at some point, since dropping a quarter mil on a Chevy isn't a scary idea apparently.

The Corvette is still incredibly cheap for what it offers, in the US. A base Vette is $63k less than a base 911 (no doubt tariff-assisted).

In the UK a base Corvette is only £6k less than a base 911.
