Im gonna be posting a series of vs. threads as i come up with them in the coming weeks, and this was first to hit me. As i understand several of you have probably downloaded the 3rd car pack, and in it is the Aventador. We all know a well driven Murcielago SV can easily keep up with an Aventador, but thats just the thing, it takes skill to drive a Murcielago hard and drive it well, whereas the Aventador doesnt try to kill you unless you REALLY screw up. now this begs the question, which do you prefer? The Murcielagos old school lamborghini brutality on novices, but reward for skilled driving? or the Aventadors new school finesse and ease of extracting potential? Im personally in the Murcielago camp, master a Murcielago and not much else this side of an F40 will be that hard to drive, and i enjoy that. I remember the first time i drove an LP640 in that challenge event i couldnt keep it straight for my life, and didnt wanna drive it, but after awhile i bought one and practiced with it, now im fast as 🤬 with a Murcielago. And the car has taught me alot about the importance of managing load transfer, making me faster and cleaner overall! Have your say below!

Hm, I can't even really decide. I believe I actually kinda prefer the LP670.

I also ran very similar times with them on the Nordschleife:
(Btw. both bone stock, grip real, no aids)

LP670: 7.12.420

Avantador: 7.11.414

Lp670 looks better to me.

AVENTADOR is my new favorite car in GT5!

I just did 2.34.152 in SV and 2.34.227 in an Aventador on SPA, Grip Real , All aids off (ABS 1), Totally Stock, SH Tyres!

Thought Aventador would be quicker!!!

I would say with Sports Hard tyres for both stock Aventador and Murcielago LP640 in Nurb Nord with Real setting for grip loss, the former just move with ease and almost stable-like (except when it touches the grass) compared to the latter which wants to drift at almost every corner. It amazes me how it handles really good in SH compared to the latter.

To tell you the truth, it kind of feels like driving the Audi R8 (40%-60%)

The SV will always remain in my heart because it was basically the Lamborghini I grew up with, but the Aventador feels so much easier and quicker to drive. The Aventador never seems to give me the good 'ol Lambo syndrome where the car slides and spins under braking.

Hasnt there been a post about comparing these two cars already?

Just love how the tail wing comes up. Haha. Simple things in life!

I agree with you 100%. Learning to drive a Murc WILL make you a better driver overall. If you like to be a speed-demon feeling like you're always driving on the edge of disaster the Murc is defintely for you. If you want to whimp out and drive something easy to handle without much skill then the Av is the way to go.

It has always been a physical attraction for me when I saw the first picture of Aventador, even with the 1st/2nd gen and LP670-4 SV Murcielago...then the handling, power,etc2 comes after that

Ummm in that case shouldnt it go there?

Why do you care??? You've posted in this thread twice about it being a duplicate. You've added nothing to the conversation at hand. You're not a moderator, unless you've been deputized to help them do their job. So why do you care? Is it bothering you that much? Couldn't you have just ignored the post; especially since you've not added anything to the discussion. If the mods so choose to close, delete, merge why not just let them make that determination. It burns me up that guys will do this and add nothing to the conversation when we have moderators who actually have the power to do something about it.

I mentioned once then someone answered then I answer again kind of how it works

But thats fine if it means I get attacked by you fine people I shall take myself away

:edit

I had added to the other thread hence why I mentioned this here so I would say you blowing up at me is all for zip

Am I the only one that absolutely hates the look of this car? It's just ugly.

Plus, there has already been a lot of discussion about the 2 cars in terms of handling, tests have been done, results collected, topics discussed. Every detail of difference between the LP640-4 and the LP700-4 has been broken down and discussed. Why bother making another "murcielago vs aventador" thread to discuss the 2 cars when one has already been made??

I never saw the other one.. Ehh hey lets just enjoy the conversation anyway, if the thread gets locked up it gets locked up, but lets please try to ensure the reason it gets locked up is because of it being a duplicate and not needless fighting, i have other vs. thread ideas anyway for later.

your not the only one :p, but it really does look like a stealth fighter.

AVENTADOR is my new favorite car in GT5!

mine too. i have always liked rear traction cars over awd cars, but this one is amazing. once you get used to the marginal understeer, and learn how to use the huge amount of traction, it will blown away everything:scared: try the aventador on fast tracks like fuji and suzuka or spa:sly:

Ok when in rome do as the romans do

I have collected all of the lambos in gt5 and I love them I am now finding myself testing all the lambos to see the results of multiple generations of these awesome cars

I love the handling of the Murciélago! I have yet to try the Aventador.

Now if only they SOUNDED like they should IRL, then I'd be driving them more often! :(

perhaps you could each vs post in one thread :) keep the place tidy.

when u see it in real life u gonna change ur mind :sly:

No I don't think I will. I've seen Lambos before and my opinions don't change. I'll stick to my GT500E.

Lamborghinis always look awesome from the front and side but the back especially the murcielago is always ruined in my opinion. I also do think that the countach is the best only because the murc seems to understeer and oversteer.

shhh, are you crazy, you can't say that in public, you'll get shot at!!!

I uhhhh LOVE the uhhhh looks of this car.........alot!:nervous:

I had a bit of fun with this car on Nordschleif Nurb, love the handling, lively with great power and acceleration! Ended up doing a 7min flat with sports soft while practicing online.

Murciélago is considered old school now? A Countach or the Miura sure... both are in GT5 as well.

I was thinking that earlier the murcielago isnt what I would call old school
