I guess a high mileage car with 1 or 2 less hp wouldn't qualify?

Not what you think. Basically, it's build up a muscle car engine or other road car engine and then we drag them at Indy. No tuning etc. Stock tires. No aids. Builds must be mild builds, as close as you can get to 450hp without going over. Power limiting is prohibited. No weight reduction.

Think of it as you were building a car in real life.

Other road cars are legal but cannot exeed 450hp. Pick awkward cars, something fun so this can be really interesting. Who doesn't want to see a Fiat 500 beat a Camaro in a drag race?

Car like M3's/M5's, Skylines etc. You have to be smart about it though, some builds will yeild only high end rpm power and getting off the line slow could cost you the race. Hp is great, but torque wins races.

So, whens the drag! I'm pumped up and READY!!!!

Stock tranny, stock suspension, and stock LSD. Also stock tires that came with the car. The only upgrades you can put are things that increase HP.

Well, not really tuning but finding faster cars, definatly should have worded that better. I just have a really good feeling about it.

I am tuning for this. I try different parts. some parts give 1 to 5 less hp but much more torque. I made my Subi quicker switching from a sport intake manifold to the sport headers. In a sense "tuning" is important.

I've got 1 4WD under the maximum HP, and two RWDs. Most of the other cars I've tried had crappy transmission setups or too heavy.

I have 2 AWD cars, 3 MR, and 4 FR. Got 1 Muscle car. Muscle car is...slow to be nice about it. Hell I might get a Neon just for s**ts and giggles.

You guys realize that you aren't limited just to one car lol

How's the 16th of this month? I'm busy this weekend so I figured this would work. As the last thing I do.
