Does anyone else listen to music while they record drifts? I like to do it when linking drifts because it helps me keep a rythm.

I like some Killswitch, Hatebreed, Pro-Pain or Fear Factory going on in the background while drifting.Pumps me up somewhat. A little Pennywise or Glassjaw wouldn't hurt too...

Lamb of God
Shadows Fall
Meshuggah
Otep
Downthesun
Motograter
Tool
However metal is not all I listen to while drifting. I also listen to some:
Radiohead
Coldplay
Afro Celt Soudsystem
Dead Can Dance
A Perfect Circle
or:
Swollen Members
Dialated Peoples
Living Legends
The Grouch
Eli
Wutang Clan
Ludacris
Busta Rhymes
It just depends on my mood at the time, hell sometimes I like to listen to a little:
Chopin
Mozart
Beethoven
Thomas Newman
Maurice Jarre
I think it's important to know how to recognize your mood, and cater the music accordingly. Instead of trying to control your mood, you should be using it to help your drifting IMHO.
