Songs I can think of on the spot:
Achilles last stand - Led Zeppelin (Jimmy Page = Legend)
Purple Haze - Jimi Hendrix (Legend)
Dakota - Stereophonics
Sweet Smoke - Mr Scruff
Various Led Zeppelin tracks from their 5 albums.

I really hope that they do have an upload feature for music in the next gt game so then I can put on stairway to heaven full volume! (full volume on engine too of course). Once I get my apprenticeship i'm saving up for the DFP and im gonna build one of those wooden cockpits with sorround sound in it for that sweet engine sound.

System of a Down on full volume or if i want to chill out blues tracks particularly Rhapsody in Blue by Duke Ellington thats one amazing tune

kancerman
Going all out on New York track while listening to Sugarhill Gang's "Rapper's Delight" is sweet ...
I use than on the ring, I know Im doing ok If i can do 2 laps by the time it finishes. Run DMC is also good.

I listen to:

Metallica (live **** is great for endurances and 'green hell' on Garage inc. is fantastic for the Nürb. :) )
Motörhead
Damageplan
Sepultura
Audioslave
De Mens (belgian band)
Mauro & the Grooms (other belgian band)
and the Queens of The Stone Age.

Aah, I turned the music off on GT4 ages ago...it was too quiet anyway, and I couldn't be bothered sifting through the menus to turn it up. I think the music on GT4 is mostly good...not as good as the previous Gts, but I can deal with it - Span's song for example, I thought was pretty good. However, I usually listen to The Used, Atreyu, Slipknot, QOTSA, Black Keys, Muse, Radiohead, The Cure - any of that kind of thing - just whatever what I wanna listen to, not really driving music.

Did that make sense?

Deimos

I turn off all the music, it is a distraction to me. However if I am up far enough on an enduro that I know I'll win, I'll put on a Gilbert and Sullivan or some other musical comedy dvd and just listen to the sound track on my headphones.

nothin while driving in gt4.
irl I listen to radia station tripple J, or bung on a CD (which could be just about anything from hip hop to heavy metal to jazz depending on my mood).

I'm sorry, I'm not a big rock music fan. While I don't prefer rock over everything else, I do have Van Halen's "Panama" in my playlist, all of Daiki Kasho's music in the game, that remixed Papa Roach song... and the rest is usually mixed ranging from trance to hip-hop to even classical. I usuallly say to myself that everything in life has a song to it, and I'm a person who's all about rhythm. I can't breakdance (much less dance at all... except slow dancing with the ladies ;)). I can't do anything over-the-top, but everything in life has a song. Everything from finding your true love to failing a test that you HAD to pass to get college credit has a song. I normally use Automatic because even though I like racing, I don't know if I'm actually READY for real racing. So I don't really have to worry about looking for when to shift. I think the last time I used Manual/Standard, I raced the Grand Valley 300km in Gran Turismo 2, all in Manual/Standard. My machine was a JGTC Toyota Supra from... I want to say 1999. I had the music off as I simply looked for the shifting points. Had to know when to upshift, and when to downshift. So for some, I can imagine why you'd leave music off. But I actually like the music in GT4. This is stuff I can actually listen to as I drive. Sometimes it helps me to stay focused and look for rhythms in racing. I don't know. Maybe because I'm a rhythm guy, it helps to have some music to help make things a little easier for you.

I still like classical music for the classic car races. I wouldn't really want to race a Jaguar XKE around Autumn Ring Mini Normal listening to punk rock. Instead, classical music makes things nicer. You're enjoying a beautiful exotic from the old ages while listening to Mozart or Erik Satie. I think it's a nice touch, even though whatever song is played is completely random.

The only time I have music on is when I'm viewing my works of art (photos) on a slideshow. Of course I have to have the classical music going on since I feel it adds so much to the effect, and I really enjoy the nice effect that PD put in with the random zooming in and out of the picture. 👍

If I had a video capturing card, I've would of love to showoff my slideshow and share it with everyone, but I don't even have a compatible flash drive to save my pictures, all of them are saved on the memory card. :grumpy:
