I see nobody talking about the ingame music here.

Why is that?

When I watched one of the videos,I noticed that they kept some old beats...that is NOT so good.

Opinions?

All the playlists of songs regardless of them being in the PAL or NTSC versions have been excellent tunes from GT1 to 3, they suit the mood of driving, and set sucha beautiful atmosphere when playing.

Personally I would like hear to every song featured in, from all of the games as one fat 'CLASSIC' Playlist, you could also select then a 'NEW' Playlist, if you wished.

I totally agree, the music in the previous games was cool. pity about the BG music in GT1 that continuously looped and made you want to kill yourself... I dunno what the status is on the PS2 hard drive (anyone?) but it would be jokes if you could link your PS2 to your PC and download your MP3 collection so you could have some guaranteed phat beats pumping while you blast around in your chosen race car.... ah bliss

It would be nice if they brought back the original tracks from GT1. I really liked Garbage's "As Heaven is Wide".

yah it would be nice to listen to your own mix when playing. maybe there will be a swap disc feature so after the game finishes loading, it would let u stick your mix into the ps2.

i had gt1 and gt2 as well as three and i hated the music in all three, from the menu to the in game i couldnt stand it. they could have at least made a few different genres rather than all rock. im not a fan of rock so i just have the engine to keep my ears company it would RULE if you could pop ur own cd in and listen to the tracks...

I think they should do a BGM volume and Sound effect volume slider in the options....in GT3 it was either on or off which sucked because the sounds of the engines over powered the music.

As for the music, i'm not really a rock fan either, i liked that "Everything but the girl" tune in GT2, and Overseer in GT3 thats about it....but i guess the music does sound ok when driving.....if you could hear it

I would just like to have a few Heavy metal songs put in myself, or songs Like Mad Capsule markets-Fly High, it too me is a fast paced racing song, but i don't want to see too heavy songs, but songs that are too soft.

i mean, i don't want soft songs put into the game, it wouldn't suit racing, which is an extreme sport after all, songs from Feeder in my view don't suit Racing.

I never really had a problem with the music volume being to low. The higher revving engines were sometimes a problem, but nothing serious.

I miss Garbage from the GT series. They're songs were like a trademark of GT. I thought "As Heaven is Wide" from GT1 and "I Think I'm Paranoid" from GT2 were great driving songs.

Remember "Super Bon Bon"? God, that was a gay song.

The music in Need for speed Hot pursuit 2 is driving music!
I'm not saying the game is better than gt3, but the music definately makes the game more enjoyable to play.

In GTA3 on the PC you could play MP3 tracks whilst driving around and it was perfect because you could chose exactly what you wanted to listen to. You couldn't change tracks which was a pisser if you kept switching to the MP3's and found the SAME track playing.

If you could make your own playlist of your own music under the options menu and then whislt driving pause then game and have the ability to change song.

I get the feeling that some of the GT purists will complain that listening to music isn't what GT is about... "You don't get stereos in race cars.... blah blah blah" but i'd love it. Some good music during the enduro's would make my day

It's a unique song. Definitely not the worse song in GT.

I have super bon bon's i think its just bon bon's coated in LSD or something...anyway...

It's probably very difficult getting the music right in games, if it were up to me i'd have ridge racer style jungle/hardcore playing but then thousands of other people would disagree, I think polyphony have tried to make their music fit the scene as much as they can without disrupting the player

Mind you there was a track in GT2 that i couldnt stand, cant remember what it was called but i think it was by Fatboy slim, it was soooo irratating.

I've played GT3 for almost 3*100% and after my first complete I turned the game-music off. I like Feeder and Ash but after that I really can't appreciate those songs anymore...

Now I just have the engine-sound and if I want music I just make a nice winamp playlist an then listens to it while driving.. easy and nice music!

i just keep on hoping that the in-game music is full of speedy tracks with pumpin' beats. the ingame music in gt3 wasn't satisfying at all, just listen to it and you know what i mean.

the ingame music of gt1 and gt2 RULEZZ!!! (untill now)
(no complaines about GTC, but it just wasn't good enough)

Heh, i've just started to play my American version of GT2 and I was shocked to hear that song come up. Mainly because some wrestlers in ECW used it as their entrance theme. Weird song though.

Am I the only one who has ever heard the Japanese soundtrack for GT?

The Japanese soundtracks rule, well if you like Jazz/Rock.

Well, i'm going to buy the Japanese version of GT4 (If only the last Japanese copy of GT3 wasn't sold out I would have all GT games in Japanese), listen to the Japanese soundtrack, get bored of it in a month or so and then turn the music off.
