VW Golf V GTi - lightly tuned, sports suspension and racing tyres - this sweet little hatch is a joy to drive. Responsive, tight steering - excellent responsive engine and stops on a sixpence :) so far my favourite for a blast around Nordshleife :)

Is that the one that was used in the seasonal event a while ago?...because that was a surprisingly good car.

Both the Holdens are great for a bit of smoky action. It's a pity they got rid of the Aussie fords (FPVs) from GT4.

This Car is awesome fun if you just want to let out some smoke haha. Burnouts all round with this baby

Just follow Lion's Den Performance Tune

I personally love my Xanvia Nissan GTR, and the racing Lexus with yellow wheels ;) (it's name escapes me)
Also, I don't think anyone has mentioned the McLaren MP4-12C ... beautiful clear dash and it handles fantastically, plus, when fully tuned it puts out over 880bhp :D also, just a small thing, but the driver doesn't do the annoying movement to change gear like on Ferraris because the paddles are in the right place.
The Jag XJ13 is beautiful and sounds amazing - I highly advise saving up for it ... when you look back you can see the heat haze coming off the engine.

One thing everyone should do also is a stock Ferrari F40, sports hard tyres, Nurburgring at night, no hud, no assists, headlights dipped - amazing experience ;)

Most people here have suggested individual cars, and whilst this is helpful, I am starting to believe that the type of engine a car has is the most important thing. So rather than saying get this car or that car, I would say:

Get as many V8's as possible. If a car has more cylinders then get that too. But as a general rule of thumb V8's (or above) are best, V6's are good, and anything below that is best avoided, regardless of how much HP the car may have. 👍

I don't know if anyone mentioned it but i have to reccomend the following:
- Aston Martin DB9: For "classically modern" looks and smooth handling
- Maserati GranTursimo: Mafia styling and massive presence
- Alfa Romeo 8C: Solely for the jaw dropping looks

Isn't that a Subaru (flat-4) in your avatar? Can I ask why you like Vs, not inlines, flats or Ws? And why 8+ cylinders? There are plenty of amazing 4 and 5 cylinder engines. I'm not sure I could even tell the difference in a game like this.

As for must have cars, I'm sure they've been mentioned but the '02 NSX Type R is a load of fun, as is the 4.2L R8 and the Jaguar E-Type, and the old 300SL, all completely stock.

The nissan r89c racecar. This car is amazing and handles like a dream! I have a mercedes sauber c9 a Toyota minolta 88cv and a corvette zr1 race modded and would prefer it over anyone of them anyday! It tops out at 270ish mph and can blast through corners at over 200mph! Amazing!

Weds Sport IS350 - literally taking some turns 10 mph faster, lacking in acceleration though.
Esperante - Just got this a moment ago through trade, I'm impressed.

And thanks to this thread, which I hope continues as people progress through the game, Camaro SS '10 RM is an awesome car.

Mini Marcos Fully tuned
Very fun! It lifts its rear wheels while braking, resulting in a FWD drift almost all the time!

He's american, they dont understand anything with less than a 4l engine in a 2 tonne chassis that produces less than 100bhp/litre displacement unlike their European (and Japanese) counter-parts :sly:

Just created a suggested so far list updated to end of page 3 in alphabetical order..:)

indeed they don't, i like how americans can get a 3.2 litre engine and not even squeeze 200 bhp out of it but the Japanese can take a 1.3 and get 250 bhp :sly:

Hmm, over a hundred posts and no one has mentioned the NSX Type R. Stock and untuned it is just unbelievably good. If you don't have it you do not love cars.

Hear, hear! NSX TypeR - incredibly fine driving car, I have 5 of them.

Lol at the R10 TDI... it's so bad... but hey, against the AI it'll be more than enough for most people anyway.

Can only say the Nissan GT-R SpecV for its sound and the GT-ONE for its speed is missing. All my other favorites are already in the list.

Actually, I don't know if the GT-R and GT-R SpecV sound the same... :)
