The bass is cool, I could deal with an instrumental version. To be honest the whole race soundtrack became too much to handle in less than a month for me... A huge playlist of instrumental prog metal/fusion and general tomsherddery improves the whole package tenfold :D
 
Even the Video of it is Creepy!!:scared: kids in white sheets and painted faces....

I'd probably run them over if they were on the track!:yuck:
 
I must of become immune after hearing this song so many times, I don't even notice it these days but that might be because I play on a very low volume.
 
This song is brutal. Hey wait... I'm going to "shazam" it so I can see what its really called.

I hate this song, too. The thing about it is that it's just like the GTAuto and UCD music, in the sense that you cannot listen to anything else but that when you get there. I have my own playlist set for the menus, and my songs are always interrupted by these menus' music, which I hate. My music, most of the time, works as it should in the pre-race screen, but of course, that doesn't always happen. Not to mention, you can't listen to a custom playlist when online, so I always have to go out of my way to turn it off before I do.

But back on topic, if you have your normal GT music playing for the menus, you will always hear this song and the other song that plays, like you will always hear the ice-cream truck crap in GTAuto.

I've never heard an ice cream truck play anything that sounds anything like The Entertainer. Which I would say is about the best "forced" song, none of which should be forced and all of which are worse than most of GT5's other songs. Seamless is best.

Agree. I wish there was a way to control the playlist for everything.
I really like the jazz & classical included in the game, and have just that chosen in the playlists.

But yeah, not being able to turn off those kids bop bop about love & the way they way were made is just annoying :irked: and kind of creepy! :odd:

Thank you! I couldnt get the last part of the lyrics down. While I'm waiting for a race my girls like to run around and sing it. :lol:
 
Would be cool if you could choose what songs you would want in the pre race screen, just like in the music library thing.
 
Give us all the awesome music from GT3...remember
She sells Sanctuary, Turbo lover, As good as it Gets, and don't forget that awesome intro song, Are you gonna go my way.
 
I created a playlist called "Menu Music" specifically for GT5... I filled with calm music for easy listening - much more bearable than the elevator music constantly played.

I put in some Tweaker (Album = The Attraction to All Things Uncertain) and its just great - kinda matches the mood of my main menu settings in my opinion...

Also a few slower, calmer songs by breaking Benjamin and Disturbed...
 
I disabled all my GT5 music because of this song.

What a horrible decision, putting only a couple songs to a race menu

I swear i rage when I hear that song over peoples mic's online
 
I play custom playlists 500 songs, in menu and in race.. no PD songs whatsoever...everywhere (exept car dealers and used cars) GT plays my music, I recomend you to do that... if you have any problems wiht own music like , stop playing or replays one song over and over again or simply dont play some songs at all do following:

1. Check your music formats on PC, pick out any strange formats, there all should be standart mp3
2. create playlist with your songs in PS3 (max 500 songs)
3. pick your playlist in GT, select Shuffle ON, repeat OFF, then
4. select first song on the playlist.
5. Save

I had alot of problems with my own music, now after those steps it forks 99% fine.

PS. I do like GT5 music, esspecialy elevator clasic music but the count of it was to small, it gets old after a while...

and yes I agree those children songs in race menu are horrible, and PD did a mistake by shuting down any song when entering dealerships or tunings etc. the song must continue.. sometimes I even dont go to buy cars or tune them just becosue I hear good song of mine... good thing now you can tune cars from garage... (y)
 
^ Woa, hypnotic and strangely melodic! I'd rather listen to this on repeat for a year than hear that 'song' again!

This is waay better until the 2:15. Dubstep nono in Gran Turismo. And instrumental version would be even better.
But i still prefer more electronic genre without singing.

That did not work for me. In Aspec everything is Okay, but in Online lobby, nothing. Only that awful race menu music.

Wow, this is the funniest thread I've ever had the pleasure of reading! All of my feelings neatly placed in one thread.

I have yet to replace the classical and jazz menu tunes, but all others were done away with long ago. I have a mix of different metal genres (mostly death, black, and gothic) for race music, which I turn off if I'm racing a friend online. Only racing sounds online. I can't deal with the mainstream music, just slows me down worse than I already am.

As far as the kid song goes, I called it the A E I O U song, it's disgusting, and needs to be terminated.

I learned to do that very early! I listen to the radio while I drive, Spoken Comedy, Classical, Jazz, Factual.
