So I'm kinda wondering what Ford plans to acomplish with this Mustang GT-R

I'm thinkin we just slap a GT-R badge on it and ship it off to the Questionable use of modification thread...

Don't forget, GT-R, while well-known among the enthusiast community as a model of Skyline, is not exclusive to that car. Take, for example, the Mercedes Benz CLK-GTR. nobody ever accused it of being a ripoff of the Skyline GT-R. Don't dismiss the car just because its name is the same as that of a car that is currently popular.

Yeah I'm aware of that but... ya know...

Skyline + Import = GT-R
Mustang GT + American Muscle car = GT-R? hmm... ?

Maybe Boss or even Cobra R but GT-R... no... It's not so good of a message they are sending at least that's what I got when I first saw the name. Especially the mods that they've done... Those rims, the headlights and the wing.

All right, I'll kill it. But understand that there are dozens of racecar homologation models called GTR or GT-R or whatever. It's not like Nissan invented it.
