You should definitely check out my car comparison HERE
Both the Evo and Mustang are there and the results are fairly comprehensive :)

I'd lean towads the Mustang. For an additional 10K you can outfit it enough to win most of the Amateur series races. Yes, for under $40,000.

AO

Not at stock or lower power levels. Like AO says, a stock-with-oil-change Mustang on T2s will dunk over an Evo for the same amount of money spent. If you spend a lot of money, yes, the Evo gets to be better than the Mustang. But for a low-buck car the Mustang is great.

umm.... not an easy one.
I guess it could go either way so buying either is a good decision.
i prefer the evo, in black, with black wheels :D

Fully tuned the Mustang is much better than any EVO, mine has around 710Bhp, stock, then the EVO is IMO the better car.

I agree, the mustang is really ugly and too heavy. And whats the deal with that weird spoiler, I mean who designed that thing. :D

I wouldn't listen to this guy, he made quite a bit of trouble in the drifters forum. I think he just likes to start trouble. And Adam, if you new anything about power to weight ratios or or anything about cars in general, you would not say the Mustang is beter than the Evo, real life or otherwise. ;)

Your best bet is the Evo. I would get the 6 though. A couple of good tune-ups, and a set of dirt tyres (expensive) and you can win a rally car. Use this to win the rest of the rally races, and you'll have a shiny new Escudo Pikes Peak :)

rice burners aren't the greatest, i watched a mustang waste one of them new Lancers available here in the US. It beta it like it was a kid trying to race it on his bike. Evo's suck!

Evo's are slow, even in 2 Fast 2 Furious, the Chevrolet Camaro SS, and that 1970 Dodge Challenger easliy outrun it. But why waste gas racing an EVo?

Both are good, but in different ways.

I mean the SVT cobra handles well, but not as well as the EVO being lighter and having AWD and a yaw control thingy. But the Stang has a lot more torque and a bit more power stock.

Both are good, but they each have their separate uses. I mean can you run the Mustang in the 4wd cup or the turbo cup? Or can you run the evo in the Stars and stripes races, or the FR cup?

I just don't understand these people who instantly say the SVT cobra is crap, it handles miles better than the Supra RZ and handles tuning better. But just because you can tune the Supra to 1000bhp, people instantly think it's better.

LoL don't base your answer off 2 fast 2 furious that is the worst movie ever

I have actually found the Mustang to be easier to drive quickly with little muss or fuss. (Both cars with minimal mods) The EVO's 4WD system is not nearly as well sorted as the Skyline (in the game) and it has this un-nerving habit of going from neutral steering to heavy, heave you to the outer wall, and off into the harbor, underesteer. And the line is very fine between one and the other.
You KNOW the 'Stang is gonna oversteer and you prepare to countersteer to get the car going where you want.

Hmmm, I have both cars in a semi tuned state. Well I think the mustang just has everything barring power mods and I haven't driven the EVO since the amateur EVO cup. Maybe I should try and tune them equally and take em out on the complex string to see which one gets the fastest time.

Meh, maybe i'll do it tommorow.
