Dang. That ain't half bad looking. 19/27 mpg, also good. That seems like a nice little car.

EDIT: Ouch to the premium gas

It will run on 87. I had a 1989 Daytona and it was a pretty cool little car. these '93 IROCs are pretty quick for what they are.

Awesome. You know what they might go for these days?

So I know I asked earlier this thread, but I'd like to know a bit more.

'93-'99 Camaro V6. Someone said they were slow, what kind of stats back that up? And if anyone has driven one, what were your impressions?

They are about as fast as the Daytona Turbo (7 and a half to 60), but no one will ever think they are sleepers. V6 or not, they will still be Camaros.

That's fine. Any clues on the EPA stuff?

7.5sec to 60mph is not slow feeling when you drive it, take it from my experience. These cars will feel quick, and being a domestic vehicle you know it will be very restricted out the factory so if you have intentions mods it will gain power quite easily.

Just a simple less restricting exhaust would free it up SOOOO much it wouldn't be funny. I'd guess it's around the same 600-700$ as the F150 exhaust.

I hope there was a boatload of T-Tops built. I'd want that

+1 The only way a V6 Fbody will be a sleeper is with a turbo or two stuffed under the bonnet. But like Toronado said, its still a Camaro (or Firebird/TA). And an automatic isn't automatically retarded--they make perfectly fine cruisers and or performance cars.

I think you would be better off with a Daytona Turbo then a V6 Camaro/Firebird. A guy back in high school had one and it was pretty fast and buy looking at you wouldn't have thought it was. Although with an older turbo car you really need to look at the engine closely to make sure everything is in working order. I've heard way to many horror stories with people and their poorly made choices with turbo engines.

It doesn't mean automatically retarded, just automatically less fun.

2006 I4 5spd Escape > 2004 3.9L V6 auto Mustang
In terms of fun. I love that Escape!

I've established, the only time I'd have an automatic in a vehicle is if it had a V8 and/or a car that never came with a stick....just no 4cyl autos.

That reminds of something. On my ride home from school with my friend and his brother in a 4cyl Chevy HHR, we learned something. It can't spin the tires from a dead stop.

So I give him a suggestion, put it in neutral and rev it. So he does, gets it to about 5,000 and drops it into 1st. the revs dropped to 2,000 and then it went slower than just leaving it in 1st.

Moral: Anti-Climatic. Very Anti-Climatic

Sorry, your lack of driving experience shows if that is actually how you feel. I have just a much fun in my automatic V8 Camaro as I have in any of my manual cars in the past. And that includes my 3000GT VR4, SE-R, and my Prelude. You CAN have fun with any drivetrain choice--its whether you CHOOSE to is another thing.

Three good reasons to prefer an automatic over a standard for US drivers:
  1. Traffic
  2. Better multitasking ability (which Americans seem to do quite often)
  3. Less clutch replacements throughout the life of the transmission on average
