Bought this a couple weeks ago. Gonna be my daily driver after a little TLC.

That's nice!!!

Only $250 ? I the UK you'd be paying 3 times that for this...

Does it run? What are the major problems? I mean that a really nice $250 car and if it's mostly major problem free then you got a heck of a deal 👍!

Yes it runs, engine runs damn good. Replaced normal wear items like light bulbs, wipers, battery, etc. Right now, im working on the suspension, already replaced the tie rods ($30 on ebay) & just ordered cv shafts ($120), though just precautionary. After that, it will be street worthy. Tranny also pops outta fifth, that is the only other thing. Best part is that i got seven mechanic friends helping me at the local sears (and one is a celica enthusiast, so he knows all about the car), and their manager lets us use the lift during down time and they dont even charge me!

True, but it'd likely be in better general condition. You can get that shape Celica in very good nick for about £750 (I know that's more than 3x more than $250 but it's still cheap), which can't really be sniffed at.

Doesn't look too bad though in the OP. Just cosmetically a bit scrappy, but I'm sure it's mechanically fine.

To be honest, I quite like the look of some cars when scrappy/tatty mainly anything before the 1990's... The more box-shaped cars are my general preferance, and I would buy a car based on how well it runs rather than bodywork...

I need to save some money... :(

NICE ,if it starts,stops,and runs , it's easily worth a $500.00 bill , good buy 👍
