Ok, first of all, please let me tell you all a little about me and what I deal with on a daily basis. As most of you may know, I suffered a near death auto accident about 5 years ago. Since then, I have endured countless surgeries and hours and hours of physical therapy. I am nowhere near the man I used to be. The drunk driver that hit me basically took my life that I had known for so many years away from me. I now suffer chronic pain every minute of my life and also suffer from major depression. Now, you may say, why is that important? Well, its not really. I just though you may like to know why I react the way I do sometimes. Its nothing personal to anyone here, its just that I'm not the best at dealing with things sometimes, that's all. I'm also not looking for sympathy or a free pass for what I have done here, but maybe just a little understanding, that's all.

Ok, now for the reason for this thread. I deeply apologize to @WhoosierGirl for the way I called her out. I did not mean to offend her in any way and I could have done things a lot differently. I also apologize for any and all statements I may have said that also offended her. I called her out and asked for proof and she did indeed provide the proof I was looking for. This was never about her skill set or how good she is, it was just about a claim that I didn't think was possible. Well, she proved it was and then some, so great job on her part.:bowdown: I have learned my lesson here and in the future, I will do such things by pm as not to disrupt the thread. Lastly, I just want to apologize to everyone else in the thread for disrupting things. It has always been my intentions to help people with tunes, tips and advice, not to cause chaos like I did.

In closing, if you all still want to hate me and wish I no longer post in these threads, I completely understand. I love posting here and competing with and sharing my setups with everyone here, but if you wish for me to stay away, I will. I hold no ill will towards anyone here and I won't even if you longer want me around these parts. I hope that this can bring an end to this ordeal. I didn't have to do this, but I felt it in my heart that it was the right thing to do. So, hate me or forgive me, its your choice. I've now done what I feel is right and hope we can put an end to this matter.

Good on you for the public apology. Probably over the top, but I don't the circumstances.

What did she do that's so unbelievable? I don't doubt anything that girl says. She's a beast.

What I'll say to start I that I love this community. It's one that for the most part provides support for each other to help everyone meet their individual goals while playing the game.

And Cargo you provide a great resource with your tunes while helping people do exactly that with your tunes and with your words of support to those questioning themselves.

What I don't like about this community is how often members go on the offensive instead of taking constructive criticism or questioning posts in a positive way and I think that sometimes you can read things the wrong way and get upset. Don't worry though, it's the internet and we don't always get the implied meaning. But I would implore you to take the "what if" mentality and apply it to your future posts. What if someone is just trying to help others in the same way you do? What if someone is just trying to suggest an alternative you hadn't thought of?

"WhoGirl" has proven a very valuable member of this community and a trustworthy one at that. She has shown time and time again that sometimes the best result isn't always with the obvious choice and that should be deeply respected instead of questioned.

So, in the future if you have doubts maybe either take it to PM like you mentioned or simply ask in a more polite manner to find answers that better yourself and the community as a whole.

I've read about your struggles and I understand them and feel your pain. To be dealt a raw hand and still have an (overall) positive outlook is worth a round of applause and then some. But we all love the kind and helpful Mitch, not the one that makes assumptions and treats others poorly.

In closing I think Jogo deserves an apology too but that can be handled via PM. I respect your character to make this thread but sometimes things need to be hashed out between friends. :)

That's the Cargo that I know.👍 In any community there is always going to be disagreements. Being offended is a choice each person has control of. There will always be instigators as well and that is the way our society has become; very quick to point the finger and the lack of common courtesy. I always proof read any post I make before I hit POST REPLY. GTPlanet is a diverse community of people from around the world each with their individual customs that we may not be familiar with and our choice of words can get in the way sometimes without the intent to do harm.

Let us all come away from this with the understanding that unless the post is written directly to you keep your comments to yourself. Had there not been others involved and more jumping into the fray this could have been settled between Cargo and WhoosierGirl. So please think about what you are about to write, proof read what you have written, STOP and think would you want someone to say the same thing to you and how you would feel if the shoe was on the other foot. Thank you Mitch.
 
Hey cargo, you have helped far more people on these forums then you have hurt. I gotta admit that my gut instinct to how good she really is says "bs" but thats just the old male ego poppin it's head up. You manned up and said sorry so good job.
 
You've done what I thought you would do Cargo, fair enough, as far as I'm concerned that should be the end of it.
I'd be very surprised if WhoosierGirl didn't accept it.
Anyway, good to see you back in the land of, ass whippings, ha ha.

Because you probably not the only one, and 10 pm's asking the same question?
So i don't know if that's a solution.

@GTP_CargoRatt Ask her first by private conversation,
if you can ask her that question next time by PM.
Or work together with creating settings.

Well said @GTP_CargoRatt! There are not many people on this site, who would have done what you just have. I have a great respect for yourself due to your usual positive outlook and support towards other members of this community and a little more now that I've seen a man stand up.

And being honest, this is not even close to being the first time anyone has asked for proof of a claim in these forums (regardless of who) and personally I think it was blown a little out of proportion, but that's not my business. This was between you and @WhoosierGirl and no-one else!

At the end of the day, you've done what you feel is right and apologized, and that in itself is worth a lot in my book. Top man!👍
 
It's great that we have characters like you and everybody else here at the forums, I mean whit out any characters this would be a really doll place. Sometimes it just seems that people are taking matters little bit too personal, I mean there's a weird vibe going on in these forums sometimes and I think it's mainly because people tend to make and take thins on a personal level, forgetting that this is internet and when IRL we can see each others faces I think we would behave our self bit differently.

I hate to sound negative, but calling someone out, then making a thread apologizing for it, how does this make you a better person? Yes, you apologized, but does it really need this much attention, apologizing is called being civil . I don't know you cargo, but I haven't gained that much respect for you. A PM would be more appropriate for this situation. In short you apologized for being wrong, what do you want a cookie?
