Jedi2016And ONLY if you get behind someone. I noticed that when Overtake is turned on, even if there are no other cars around, your driver will weave in and out of the racing line, which only serves to slow him down. Turning it off assures that he holds the proper line. Just keep an eye on it, and whenever he comes up behind someone (including lapped traffic), turn on Overtake until he gets by, then turn it off again.
NetegraYeah, so my B-spec driver has 4802 points... so I go out and buy the BWM V12 LMR Race car...
I just want to get to the extreme stuff, so I bought the V12 LMR to do the 'dirty' work on the Gran Turismo Championship. I watched the first lap or 2 until my Bspec freak got in the lead, then i put him at 4 and sat back for the win.
Well, lap 9/10 comes around, and he pits (without me telling him too). I get tires and i'm about 10-15 secs ahead of the GT-One that's in second.
Well, I switched back to real time so I could watch the 'fantastic'finish. Well, I started to notice that he wasn't driving like he was before the pit stop. He just kept putting the breaks on for no reason...
So about the third to last turn, the GT-One owns me and i watch my b-spec freak get out of the way. Then, he finally makes it to the straightaway (this is at Tokyo) and he starts BREAKING on the STRAIGHT! Needless to say he gets RAMMED by the third and fourth place cars, and I end up taking third! WHAT THE CRAP IS UP WITH THAT!?!?
Good one, Polyphony... 👎 👎 👎 👎![]()

ApolloI'm going to hit to threads with one answer here:
Give the B-Spec driver time to learn in good prepared cars. I had to buy a brand new Audi R8 for the 24 hour races. Right now mine's got a 3+ lap lead at LeMans with 10 hours left in the race. The Sauber is in 2nd and the Toyota is 3rd. I did a couple of stints earlier and was faster than my driver by 5 seconds. After I turned the car back over to my driver, his lap times were only a second off of mine.
Wear and Tear on the R8
I had already put one entire series and one endurance race on my R8. I went to bed lastnight and left my driver running the Fuji 1000 in and a R8. He was running against the Sauber and both Nissan's. He ran 4th and got slaughtered to say the least. So Yes the R8 does wear out quickly. Plan on buying a new one every 2-3 endurance races?
No no thats what I meanDartsYou mean Deutsch Touring car races or are there also Dutch races(wich would be starnge cause there isn't any Dutch track)
Adonand since I cant do all this driving in one sitting (my hands get numb from the strong force feedback of my DFP) I opt for B-Spec mode for a few of my races....z
P MachyYou might have a valid point about getting a new car after so many enduro's 💡
Ran the Toyoyta 88C-V Race Car on the Sarthe Circuit 24 Hour I, two times. On the 2nd race, i was able to win it & in B-spec Mode, the driver actually lapped the field![]()
A-Spec ET = 3:21 Average
B-Spec ET = 3:26 Average
Decided to take the Toyoyta 88C-V Race Car on the Sarthe Circuit 24 Hour II. My lap times average to a 3:07 to the other Toyoyta of 3:12. After my 1st pit stop, i noticed that my MPH down the straight would barely hit 228mph, it got worse by the 3 hour of me driving it last night.
The only thing i changed on the car was to drop the ride height to 83F / 83R & the wing settings where 63F / 86R [ Sarthe I setting 63F / 85R ]. Huge difference on how the car handles but the stupid B-Spec was losing 20 seconds at every hour.
No added Turbo since i want to make it a very fair challange but im afraid that i will have to attempt this race again this saturday with me driving 10 hours of it.
A 3 lap lead over 2nd place should let me win at the final hour. In B-Spec, the other Toyoyta car catches up 1 lap every 5 1/2 hours.
AndrooosLast night I decided to try to up my B-spec driver's points by letting him run lots of laps at Tsukuba while I made and ate dinner. When I finished eating, I turned the TV back on to see how my guy was doing. He had turned 188 laps, and I wanted to see what his pace was like. So I took over. Man, I couldn't keep up with him. He was consistent through all the corners and he was beating me by 0.3 seconds per lap.
I checked afterwards and he only had 4800+ B-spec points. I entered him in a few miscellaneous races (in the M Club to get the M3 GTR, I had him drive the M3 GTR Race Car) and he whipped some asses in there (he ought to with that car).
Then I entered him in the Vette Vette Vette! race with a C4 Grandsport modified to 454 hp (When I saw that number I stopped modding, I was like YEAH 454 baby!) He kicked ass in that series too.
Dammit's name won't be changed anytime soon but he's improving, no question. I was shocked I couldn't beat him at Tsukuba, so that's a good sign.
