Right. don't microwave a bottle of windex with your chicken.

Do you realize how much power wells up in the capictor for the flashbulb in a disposable camera?

HAHA YES. I made the mistake of opening one of those as a little kid, when the capacitor was fully charged. Needless to say, my entire arm spazmed all about and it gave me a pretty good scare. I also had some nice blisters on my finger from where the current entered me. :scared:

Yeah, my hand was spaztic for the rest of the day. Oh Joy!

Wow.

This thread title has attracted 311 users already.

Whereas a thread titled "Invisible Skateboards" has only gotten 247.

Wtf.

A thread about a coffeemaker exploding gets more views than a thread about Invisible Skateboards.

You must be very dense to not get the point of that post.

My mom managed to burn the counter once in an apartment that we were renting. I don't think the apartment owners ever knew...

Our old fridge liked to take a leak once in awhile, but we've long replaced it. So far the new one hasn't missed a beat.

Riiight. This thread title has "exploded" into it, and so people are expecting to see something blown into a thousand pieces. 💡

And really, the Invisible Skateboards are pretty cool, but which thread would you go to first?

...Unless you create a topic for the blind.

... Okay. Bad joke.

Smartass

On another note, the heating element on my electric coffee maker went pop about 10 minutes ago, seems I had left it on, and now it's dead!

ummm, you do realise that white meat in the microwave is a SERIOUSLY bad idea?

Never heard any such thing. The ham was cooked the previous day, just being warmed for serving. My wife didn't realize the glazing would heat differently from the meat, and I was busy with football games or something, till I smelled smoke.

I haven't had any appliances explode but I did see my girlfriend create an exploding egg. Basically she boiled an egg and realised that the egg wasn't cooked properly. She then put the egg in a microwave for about 130 seconds. She then took the egg out and peeled it. She then used a spoon to remove the top of the egg.

It exploded over the whole kitchen. There was egg everywhere.
