My Drifting

I know you guys don't care, but I found the two perfect drift cars in GT2... The Mazdaspeed RX-7 GT-C, and the Ruf CTR2. Camber the tires out about 5 degrees front and back, put supersoft's on the front, sport tires on the back of the RX-7, sims or normal tires on the back of the Ruf. The Ruf has all mod's except engine mod's, that car has enough power as it is. The RX-7 has all mod's done. Also, put the stabilizer's up to 7, lower the cars a little, get the gears so you can go 60 in second. Then swap your discs (to arcade mode), go to Time Trials, then get on Motor Sports Land. I swear that track was made to drift. I don't think it's in 3 (I don't have a PS2, so I don't know.) Anyway, that track and these cars... Fun fun fun. Wow this post was pointless, sorry.

i know the reason why people use supersoft+900hp, its EASY. they want to drift in 5 minutes, not actually put effort into learning how to drift...the sad thing is, the best drifter on super softs and 1000hp wouldnt be able to go around 3 turns without spinning out in a 300hp sim tire equipped car. meanwhile the guy that learned drift on a FR with sim tires can drift any car in the game...hmmm

and while your "3 turns ahead" in your overpowered unrealistic car, the guy "3 turns behind" is doing it the way it's always been done in real life. of course he has reason to feel gratified and a sense of accomplishment, he's doing it RIGHT. :irked:

what the heck are you saying LanEvo, i bet you i can drift any car in GT3 with super soft tires, you think you know but you dont know because you havent achieve it yet, plus you know what you do only, you dont know what other people can do, stop saying that Sim Tires are best for drifting, its how skill you are, i dont know why you guys spin out with super soft tire, but i never spin out on any super soft tire, so dont say what you know because you dont know it ok!!!!!!!

do you understand english?? or are you just illiterate. did i say ANYONE spins out with supersoft? no..of course not, BECAUSE ITS EASY. read my post again, i dont mind if you edit yours. whip out a dictionary if you have trouble with some of the words.

The funny thing is Lan Evo..300HP Plus sim tires SUCKS..and so does 1000HP and Super softs....400-600 and slicks/mediums is the best

SIm tire drifting is retarded....The onyl skill inolved is not losing control...It takes no skill to initiate the drift because you get no traction to begin with..just tap the car in 1 direction..and your back end will begin to slide out on it's on...That's retarded and unrealistic...

whoa, your exactly right. thats what drifting is all about. pushing a car to its edge without losing control.

your posts are turning into the stuff of akina_86, plus your post whoring with your one sentence every post. please revise yourself before you start looking like an idiot.

Shinez is right, big deal if he had typos, you understand his post don't you? What are you, an English teacher? Anyway, sim tires are a little unrealistic, you should have to throw the car into a turn or use the emergency brake, not just turn and hit the gas.

Shinez had typos? add that to the list, i was just pointing out the fact that it lacked relevance. have you ever driven a car in real life? better yet, have you ever drifted a car in real life? :irked:

Yes I have driven (but shouldn't have), and no, I haven't drifted... I'm 15, give me a break, but I know a lot about cars and physics and computers and... I know how cars handle, and drifting with sim tires is not all that realistic. Then again, I'm talking from GT2... In GT3, did the simulation tires get grippier?

wow, all this bad mouthing on eachother. i would have to agree with shinez on this one. you should initiate the traction loss instead of just hitting the gas. its more fun to know that YOU are the one making the drift happen, not the tires.

i'm sorry. i'd prefer if everybody just did what they wanted and had fun. night_drifter somehow puts me in a bad mood :irked:

I'm unique by drifting in GT2. I feel like the only one... I will soon have a PS2 and GT3 and a Driving Force wheel though. Soon. Hopefully.

i can also get better smoke INHO compared to like slick or meduim tires.

There's a worse smoke??

And I don't think that some tires make much smoke than others.
All do the same, the cuantity of smoke depence on your style. :)

hey go easy on lanevo, he's right on the ball in some repects. someone who can drift a 1000bhp skyline may very well no be able to handle a 400 bhp bmw on sims. thats because the bmw has virtually no traction. driving on sims IS unrealistic, but then its also easier to drift if ur supposedly on 'ice'. though if someone can handle a 900bhp supra on slicks im sure they can handle anything...

my m8s think that any form of slide is a drift and they get excited when they see the slightest bit of smoke. if your style of drifting gives you pleasure, no one can take that away from you. eventually you will master what you are doing and move on to harder things.
(im not singling out anyone in particular here)
