last night when i was driving home from my dads house to my moms, (about a 30 mile trip) in my 95 kia sephia, i was go in along about 80-85 mph and there was some road work ahead so i droped it in 4th and passed about 4-5 before the lane ran out. then a second later a red mustang came fly'n up behind me so i let him pass and got behind him to see if i could keep up with him. but he didn't floor it he just got up to about 90-95mph and i stayed behind him for a while and fallowed his line through the traffic. then he got over and let me pass and he followed my line through the traffic. we did this for almost the whole way home. this was one of the most fun ive had driving in while and we never got going "real fast" only 95mph tops and that was only for a few seconds and it wasn't even a race. neither of us where really pushing hard either. btw: i think the stang was a v6, or maybe a VERY quite v8 (quiter then a cop car:eek:) and last saturday i beat a 318 powered late 60's dart.
 
Glad to hear you had fun wana b drifter. Just goes to show that you don't need a lot of power to have a lot of fun.

And for the record, I would rather have a Kia Sephia than a Vauxhall Corsa.
 
You driving a Kia. You're 18, and driving through traffic (including construction zones) well above the posted speed limit. In fact, you stated "my car tops out at like 115-117mph." Can I assume this means you drove to this speed?

You are an idiot When combining your lack of driving knowledge, lack of skill behind a wheel, and the speeds you speak of, it's highly unlikely you'll have to worry about owning that KIA for very long.

You're 18, so at most you've got 3 years of experience. There is a very big difference between operating a car and driving a car.

Sorry to sound like your parents, but someone's got to rain on your parade before you cause a problem to somone else.

Hey, if the highway is deserted, by all means, crank that little beast up as fast as it'll go. The only person you can harm is yourself and leave behind grieving parents. OR worse yet, leave your self a parapalegic and burden your parents for the remainder of theirs.

You'll be bent at me, but I'm sure there will be a few others today that agree with me.

Would you tell your parents this story? FOr everyone else's sake, drive like you tell your parents you do.

90 mph through a construction zone, where the traffic necks down to fewer and tighter lanes. Weaving in and out of traffic. Driving a car at speeds it was never designed to handle.

I understand that no 18-year-old thinks he's going to die. But you need to remember that it is quite possible for other people to die, at least. Don't be an idiot.

Also, the passing 4-5 cars...did you cut anyone off? That is one of the biggest things that piss me off...people that know that the lane ends way before it does but they fly past everyone and then cut someone off. My whole family blocks these people out. My dad will go right behide the person we are following so that one of these rude people can't get infront of us. I've had people do it to me, in the 323, and I'll race them untill either they almost hit me or they slow down like they should. It's actually a ton of fun to do because if you are in a fast enough car, and are successful at blocking the person trying to pass(most of the time, the person had ample opertunity to get into the lane, I don't feel sorry for them, they don't need to pass me and get into the lane) they will be so pissed. They deserve it too.

About the following a car at 95mph...we've done it many times. It is quite fun to drive along at 95mph, especially when someone in a much faster car is doing the same thing. While riding in my dad's RX-7, we've followed a very loud Camero on I-270 going 90-110mph(depending on traffic), he would be going 90, then the person infront of him would move into the next lane(we were in the fast lane), and he would downshift and take off, and so would we. Also, when someone comes flying up behind us, we will see how fast they care to go. A while back, again on I-270(opposite direction though), in my dad's RX, we're going 85 or so and a Chevy Silverado nearly rammed into the back of the RX, so my dad downshifts and we went like 126mph, then got into the other lane(free of traffic)and slowed down and this guy flew past us and kept going...about a mile or 2 up the highway, he's on the side of the road with a cop talking to him. :)
 
Wana b drifter, may I submit your real name to the DOT? This way your personal roadside landmark will remind others not to drive as awful as you do.
 
I can't believe that some of you are actually laughing at this matter, even after what you've done. When you drive like a loon on the road, you're endangering not only your live, but others as well. I've had lost a few relatives due to accidents, and this is something I wish that will not happen to anyone else.

Please, drive safely.
 
You know, you can drive safely at a fast speed. How do you know Wanna b wasn't practicing that technique?

Though, through a construction zone is about the worst place to go that fast.

And how do we know that wanna b is telling a true story? He could just be making it up to get a reaction...
 
both are true. but personally, i do not suggest driving fast on street. if you want fast speeds, go to a racing course and do it there. this will cost you, but not nearly as much if you kill someone or injure someone.

think about your action's consequences.
