my favorite car

I only run my escudo in TEST course.... I believe it's not worth driving in any other tracks in GT3. WHY? figure it out!!!

That car is great, but horsepower isnt everything. I do remember using it in GT2 if you tune that car right in GT2 you cant be beat, I think if you play with the tunning a little you should be able to do the same, but the handling takes getting used to. ;)

My favorite car in GT3 would either be the 787B or the F1's. The F1's can NOT be beat on turning and acceleration IMO and the 787B is a monster and handles great under fast. speed. :)

yes, and you are obviously a very knowledgable person ....welcome to GTPlanet!

How about you guys try putting the Escudo on the dirt where it belongs. I can cruse along at 150+ MPH in the Escudo on some of the early courses and keep it off the walls. It's all in the art of finessing the car around a corner (: There are a few courses that are killer hard in the Escudo though ... the one with the repleated hairpin turns ... man that one is a killer. You have to be moving so slow around the corners that you drop the Escudo down below its turbo point and it just crawls. Luckily there is a very long strait stretch that you can get it back up to nearly 200mph on.

Why don't we guys classify the usage and THEN state our fav cars ?

It is pointless to compare an Escudo with a Mini...

For example by track:

Midfield :
Akasaka:
SS5 :
SS11 :
Grand Valley :
Apricot Hill :
Trial Mountain:
Laguna Seca :
Seattle :
Rome :
Test Course:

Or by drive :

FF:
FR:
MR & RR:

Or by car class :

JGTC:
European:
American:
LM:
F1:

I would guess this is a more logical version of stating our fav lists.
I am figuring mine out so I will post soon...

What would you think ?? If appropriate please just quote my message and fill in the blanks. Better yet, add your classifications which I most probably forgot to include... :)

My favorite car has to be my Lotus Esprit V8. It's shiny, purple, and has great wheels. Just a stylish car, even if it took me forever to learn how to drive at the fast speeds right. Now I use other cars for series (I'm a little bit through the Pro series), but I still like to bring it out occasionally to give it a spin.

the best all around car cannot be the Escudo, it sux, you cant control it, you cant slow down fast enough with it, and its UGLY

The Escudo sucks big time.
I only use it in Test course races, as i want that over with as soon as possible.

I like the Mitsubishi Evolution Rally Car Prototype very much.

Inspired by someone yesterday who made a post saying the Escudo handled decently with the right settings, I decided to play around with the suspension settings to eliminate all of that massive understeer. So I bought the super soft tires and modified the settings to put most of the weight on the rear, and cranked up the downforce. To my surprise, it was actually handling quite good! I was so excited that I decided to test it against some other race cars.

So I re-equipped the default medium tires and took it to Tokyo R246 in Arcade Mode on Professional difficulty. The 787B and R390 jumped out to the lead early while I battled with the GT-One as the Viper and Esperante trailed close behind. I eventually got in front of the GT-One, but I wasn't closing in on the 787 and the R390.

But thanks to the Escudo's 940 horsepower, all the AI cars had to be given upgrades to match it. This called for a softer tire compound, therefore meaning shorter pit intervals. So the R390 & GT-One hung around 'till lap 3 and the 787B 'till lap 4 before pitting. This put me in the lead, and I pitted the next lap. The 787B and R390 came screaming down the front straightaway, passing me as I exited my pit stall. The R390 was in front, but had to pit again on about lap 7, w/ the 787B going in the next lap. Needless to say, I stayed out for the rest of the race and picked up the win.

So thats something to consider. I was able to win with the Escudo against arguably the best 3 non-F1 cars in the game. I'm sure there's room for improvement, as I'm not even a good tuner.
