My first car | slow moving project | Big update! :D

Come on man get us some pics of those wheels soon im drooling just think how awsome there going to look
I've got them on, but haven't balanced them. I think the tires didn't seal right. I hope it's just me, but they seem to be getting flatter.

Hopefully its just the balancing cause from what i know theses wheel look awsome.
I think after I drove them around they sealed better, since they don't appear to be leaking now, but yea, they need to be balanced, theres a low whine coming from the tired when I'm driving.

I REALLY REALLY like the pics. 👍
If you are talking about the wheels, you'll have to wait. I have the "before" pictures on another camera, and I don't have the stuff right now to connect to the computer. Once I get that, I'll post up some pics.

Just received my new wheels yesterday. 3 of them actually, one is being shipped directly from enkei.

Now I just need to save up for some tires.

But heres 2 pics.

And of course, the close up has to be the one with a little peice of carboard on the lettering.

I can't wait to get them on.

EDIT: If anyone is interested in the size, it's 15x7 +35

I've had my wheels on for 3 days now, and I love them. They look great, I can feel the road better, and the Bfgoodrich g force sport tires are very progressive.

Now for the pics.

Are the Flush? Of Course!

Nice rims, awesome tires, and great pictures. That car is gonna be a monster once you get your suspension completed.

I just can't wait until I can afford my rims and tires. I've missed a few opportunities lately because power has become a bigger issue.

Anyway, hope you have fun with it. Don't go crazy and run into anything. You're only allowed to hit snow drifts.

Wow!

I'd say you made a perfect choice! The rims complement the car perfectly, and the Anodized blue lugnuts are a great touch. Not overpowering like a blue ring in the rim, but nice and subtle.

Plus, you're a pretty good photographer! I like the effect that the rain plays.

Thanks, I chose blue lugnuts because the valve stem that came from enkei was also blue.

And that's actually water from a car wash right before I went out and shot pics, but it does look much like rain.

I haven't updated this in a long time, so I've decided to update it with something I made today.

Since the last time I've posted in here, I've changed the intake manifold to a better one off of the d16y8 engine (it had 30more hp)

Then I was bored today and I made an airbox for the intake, although it still need some work. Here's a few pics.

And one of the intake manifold.

EDIT: I also have a short shifter to replace my wobbly stock shifter.

Cool, I thought I read somewhere that you have a whole engine? Whats the deal with that? You gonna swap it or what? I really enjoy this thread for some reason, well played, well played.

I do have the whole engine, but something is making noise inside of it, and I don't know the mileage.

The intake manifold and exhaust manifold (the one off the y8 is a real 4-2-1 header, not a cast iron part) will get me most of the 30hp anyways, and I don't feel like buying a new ecu and the few missing parts on my other engine. This engine isn't really worth tuning, so all of the engine related parts on it, I got for free, except for the little breather filter and the wrinkle paint on the valve cover. I don't want to actually use money on it.

I dig the custom box. Good custom work is awesome, but bad custom work is crappy, obviously. Your job looks like it'll work. Where did you get that nifty plastic section from?

Thanks.

I got the nifty plastic section at um.....well........the um......Home Depot.......um........*cough* plumbing section. *cough*

I needed something to turn the intake 90 degrees though, since it was sitting behind the radiator. I just used that, cut a slot on the side so it could be "clampable" and sprayed it black.

Nice. I like how it turned the filter into the fender perfectly. Don't you love it when stuff just works? I enjoyed it when I hacked and chopped and stupid intake pipe from the Si and the airbox from the Sol and put them together. Works like a charm. :D

Yes, I do love it when stuff just works, very much so. Now, since I've seen how pvc, despite the rice factor, can be made to look good, and work good (the insides of those things are just as shiny as the outsides! ) I am now wondering if I can make a chamber intake, like this one.

This is also the pic I got the Airbox idea from, along with the pvc. (his intake is pvc)

New update again. Today I picked up some factory mudguards from my uncle. For free. Awesome.

Now you can't see the ground through the (used to be) open area behind the rear wheels.

Now for pics.

This is a before pic:

And after installing. It's kind of hard to see them in the pictures, but they're there:

MOAR!

Yes, I know it needs to be lowered. That's coming sometime this summer.

EDIT: I'm going to make a lost of upgrades in the first post.

I say you snag yourself a few more psi in each tire and check the rear toe angles--looks like the insides of the rear tires are wearing funny.

Also, I like the mudflaps. And I think your right about the rears not fitting. Bummer.

Tire wear is even, and tire pressure is 30psi front and rear. It's not bad.

About the rear's not fitting, I'll just cut that lip off or bend it in whenever I lower the thing.

Lookin' good, I have those mudflaps on my Integra. They came standard like that, and I really like 'em. Although once in a while if you go over a speed bump, they'll hit the bump on the way down. But they're pretty flexible so they don't break.

I got my flywheel in the mail today, here are some pics of it with it's future buddies.

I plan to swap my clutch sometime this week or the next. As soon as possible basically.

Anyway, here goes.

Gonna put the Fidanza sticker on, or leave it off?

Otherwise, sounds like it's gonna be fun!

I can see that...It's bigger than that flywheel, which I'm guessing is about 11" wide or more.
