heh, I drifted for the first time after all summer practicing without spinning out. All you drift experts out there, can you rate this as if it was in a Drift competition here on GTP. Im just curious.

ive done judging before for the drift competitions. you can't really go by a single picture...because all you have to do to do that is pull the e-brake and snap a pic. if you did that same gesture for 15 seconds though, it would be very good ;)

lol... all sylvias make good drifters... most are fairly easy to control too...

the impreza shouldnt be to bad either... i like the wagon as a drifter

I have found that the best car is the Mazda, but the my biggest accomplishment was a Mini Cooper through the Midfield hairpin.

Wow, Coo, i bet u must have been happy. I jus pulled off my first "REAL" Drift yesterday lol, i was showing off in front of my girlfriend and i pulled it off!! I drifted the WHOLE Turn after the first tunnel in midfeild raceway with my 716 HP mustang Super soft wheels in the front and medium in the back I was too happy to remember to save the replay, lol But when i get it again, i will Record it with my cam

I am curious, with all that horsepower, does your Mustang oversteer like crazy? Mine has 576hp, and in a normal turn i have to work to keep it on the track.

look at the tires... that much hp is like half that on slicks... should be no problem... and oversteer should come with no struggle... at all with different tires

btw nice sig motorer1 lol...

in my experience the absolute finest drift cars a light as hell and mr... ie... the speedster... teh elise... the ms elise.. the zz-s... some others that are a wonder to drive and drift are the zzII... and ofcourse the rx7 and trueno... there are others too... scoobies and evos for some... i think every car should be drifted lol...

viper gts isnt too bad either... as well as the stang...

I wouldn't do that.

hey stang lover... try it with the same tires on all wheels... just a suggestion cause it will make drifting any car alot easier...

well i does make it harder... but it also makes it easier to drift the harder to drift cars becuase you are used to a more difficult way of drifting and you will have more options when faced with a difficult car to drift with...

also with even tires on your car you are gonna have smother drifts and you will vastly improve your style given time... but if you try like all slicks or something i would suggest lowering your power...

nad your tires will wear evenly... which is good with tire wear on... if you wanna drift consistently

anyways good luck...

oversteer is your friend..
nice picture..impossible to tell if it was a good drift from a picture..but the angle looks good.:D

Not always. I have a Zz II that is stage 2 weight limited and has 261hp. That thing will swerve right into the wall with only a 10 degree turn. But in drifting, it is a god. It all depends on the driving. An E-brake drift would send it into the wall, whereas when I 4 wheel it i don't need to countersteer.

Oversteer is still your friend...just don't e-brake drift unless you're trying to extend a drift or going for a cool sidebrake drift. All of my cars oversteer like crazy, that's just how I like it.:D

Like I said, it depends on your style. Like when I do a Brake drift, I always downshift to slow before entering a turn. That also lightens my wheels so I can get more of a good wheelspin.

zzII with only 261 hp... i think you mean ZZs in which case it was already light... so y did you lighten it... its a great drift with a bit of extra hp... and semi racing suspension...

oversteer is always your friend... understeer is you enemy... there is no case where i would choose understeer over oversteer... a neutral car is best however... where oversteer can be called upon on demand... but getting out is not that difficult... usually occurs with light mr cars...

Yeyah! Congrats, yer on your way. Just keep practicing, when you feel comfortable with a course, change to another, and keep practicing.

Congrats, too. I remember my first "good" drift. It was a couple days ago. Heheh. Honestly, though, it was. Maybe one day I can compete with the rest of y'all. All you peoples' videos have already made me revive my GT3 out of my closet for the sole purpose of drifting. I can feel your joy.
