Sorry, to hear that man, atleast no one was hurt , but hey its fixable and you'll be back on the road in no time.:)👍

I'm on the road now. I just don't feel like driving it till I fix it.

People know me by my car. I take so much pride in the thing that people think I'm nuts. And now I'm going to drive it to school. I better prepare for all of the questions and comments. Also, the rear fender, since it's bent in, could hit the tire if I hit bumps, and both of my destinations have bumps. I don't want my new tires to hit the body. Not a good thing.

My brother *might* let me drive his Millenia tomarrow, if he can get his MX-6 running tonight.

Well, nice to see your not hurt, and that it was jus exterior damage and no inner damage to the chassis. Thats Mazda quality and strength right there.👍

Yeah. Luckily the piece below the door wasn't hit. I was actually quite lucky, if they hit the wheels or the front end, I could have been hurt, and the car could have been mechanically destroyed.

Good to see no one's hurt. Now, sell it for parts, and get a real car.👍

That really sucks, I know what it's like to have your lovely little hatchback destroyed by a pickup:

Good luck on getting it repaired, hope it turns out alright.

Well luckily for us, we're mechanically inclined. I'll go find a door in the junkyard, that takes care of the door. The fender is easily fixable. The rear fender is the issue. We don't know how much structure is behind that. We should beable to pop it out most of the way. My brother knows people at Maaco that can fix the rest and paint it fairly cheaply.

It's just the mean time that sucks.

Good to hear that the damage was not too bad, and of course that you're ok. I hope you can get your car back to it's previous condition!

Hmph,

I broke my stupid Protege5's two right side axle, and I don't regret that. In fact I'm planning to get rid of it next year, what a burden.

I want Integra back!!!!

Man, that really sucks, I know what this crap can be like. I had a guy back his trailer right over the front of my Miata, smashed up the front and trashed my brand new paint.

I'll give you $3K for your P5. :)

Wana b - It's more than a dent. The door won't open. Ofcourse I don't really care much since I rarely have passengers, but the freggin door is jammed. This car has been in the family since it was new. We bought it from an uncle back in '90 or '91, and it's been here since. I was planing on driving it till I find another Mazda, but it's my dad's car and he planned to keep it, well, forever. It only has 75,000 miles on it. The only thing that was catching up to it was the rust, starting in the bottom of the wheel wells under the mudflaps. Eventually it'll be all rusty, but it'll still drive great.

MazKid-> How about taking over my payment (which $316 p/month right now) is and just give me $1,500, and the car is yours.

 I don't like this car anymore, it sucks!!!

Maz, sorry 'bout your car dude...I know what its like, I have my 1991 626 LX 5-door, and I keep it mint ! Had some c0ck hit and run in a parking lot, messed up my rear bumper...god was I mad...thats my baby !!

ps" I kick integra's asses with the 626 ( same year anyway )

^ Oh really??? I see a challenge here, you don't know my win record with my 'teg so don't be too cocky.

Ouch. Sucks man. I'm very sorry to hear it. But keep in mind it's just a car. There are millions ... billions more to be driven (:

Well, you would have fun trying to keep up ! I've only modded my exhaust, freed up some of the back flow, added 12 horses and 8 ft-lb of tourque.

2698 curb weight
132 Hp
138 ft lbs of torque..

can pull .81 g's on the mat ( depends on the tires )

A 92 GS-R has about 160 hp, and weighs about 200 lbs less. You'd be the one trying to keep up.

The damage isn't that bad, Maz. Either take your savings to get it fixed at a bodyshop, or buy a newer car (which is what I'd do... like an early 90s 323 hatch, then slowly convert it to a GT-R... :p)

^ first off I am just kidding about my mazda, I love it, but she be a tad pokey **quickly checks to make sure she didn;t see me type that**

Secondly, keep the dent, buy a 1.3 litre rotary and slam it in there, make it a sweet sleeper , ( with dents )

-> Dude, I eat V6 GT-S Eclipse for lunch (on the street), and cars like yours (even your modded because I have 148whp est.) should be an easy customer (both street, highway, & strip), plus I ride on sucky tires and I pull 16.4 (avg) on the 1/4 mi.
:indiff:

Yeah, i am just kidding, I just love racing my baby..

as for 16.4...not too shabby, I think my best was roughly 17.2 or 3

-> Oh sorry 'bout that, I thought you're serious. Because I get those stupid taunts all the time, especially here in CIG forum. :)

Just proving that I'm NOT a poser. :D

Hate to break it to you, MazKid, but in addition to your sweet ride getting crunched up, you're on the verge of losing your possition in the top 20 members at GTPlanet.

BUE-YEA! I'm less than 30 posts from over taking you (:

^ but you know, V6 gt eclipses suck ! ; )

-> I know, someone crashed his Eclipse by racing me on Seven Hills (a narrow semi-twisty road in a subdivision, whose the speed limit is 25 mph, driving at 50 is already scary to the average driver). He was trying to pass me while I'm already cruising @ 55 mph, and this guy without thinking passes me and stared me bad (thinking that he owns the road or something), then we both gun it. While we both doing 75 mph neck-&-neck (but I was pulling ahead a little), then we are about to aproach this corner (a 2% grade downhill and medium curve to the left), that time I wasn't that knowlegable on the road. I downshifted using double-clutching to third (I was hanging at 4th during the race), then he braked putting me to the lead, then I tapped on the brake to prevent understeer (a common trait to FF-cars), while that guy understeered, hit the gutter, spun out, and hitting a tree on the drivers side. Right now he's driving a crappy Sunfire, and after for a few weeks someone picked my driver side window by an ice pick or a screwdriver, I suspected that it was him for being a sore loser. 👎 :grumpy:

I can't and wont ditch the 323. It runs great. I drove it today to school and work without any problem. After the initial "ohh man don't look at my car please!" embarrassment on the way to school, I didn't care anymore. I actually started laughing about it and showing people. Surprizes the crap out of them because they know I keep my car mint.
So anyway it'll get fixed. I still plan on getting another car ASAP, and in a local AutoMart catalog thingy there was a "1988" 626, which was a '87 5 door, clean white/red interior, factory Mazda ground effects and spoiler, 90K miles on it, they want $600 down so I might call them to find out the full price. With all of the 626 stuff my brother has, and the fact that the Kia Sportage FE3 engine(170hp) is a complete bolt up, I might just do it. Would be ultra cool and rare.
