He can always claim "the car sold locally" if he doesn't like the winning bid when the time comes.
 
I did a quicky detail after work today. Meguiars quik wax is pretty good. I had never used it before. Going to a meet tomorrow hopefully there will be a few other MR2s there.
 
I got a nail in my tire on the way home from work today. Car feels weird to like it might be out of alignment. Not sure what I hit as I was in heavy traffic and didnt see anything. I went to our local discount tire and they said it can't be plugged and they can't get a tire in that size. Hopefully I can make it to work and have it checked out properly tomorrow.
 
Yep. Just picked up my 5th MR2 today. Nothing special...

I almost bought one myself last night...someone beat me to it while we were busy discussing the pros and cons on here!
 
Pros? everything. Cons? People asking if its a pontiac.

I am going to modify it of course. Only typical stuff at first. Suspension and tires. I'll consider a larger pulley in the future but only after taking care of everything else first.
 
Wow, wow, how much are those rear visors worth? I literally gave one to a friend that I found at a yard once, and had another on my old AW11. Which I sold to the same guy.

Question T_A, how many hardtop AW11's have you seen before?
 
That one is going for so much because its from a Japanese only super edition. The regular ones aren't that expensive.

As for hardtops I haven't seen many hardtop MR2s in general. Most are sunroofs that I come across.
 
I just bought an '85 rear sway bar for my '86. $65 shipped with hardware. Not bad IMO.

Now I'm just waiting on a boat load of money to clear into paypal and then I'm going on a buying spree for the SC.
 
Factory sway bar is nice. Mine was really neutral, tending to understeer with Star Specs. Factory '85 sway brought that oversteer edge back.
 
I'm hoping it will help negate the understeer the ST front sway added. There isn't much of a difference between rear bars for these cars.
 
I now have the bar sitting here waiting for me to put it on.

I also just received a bunch of parts while at work today. New front end pieces for the SC and a shiny new titanium shift knob. I ordered a leather bot as well but its coming from England.
 
I've been looking at getting a turbo one of these as a track car - they're quite reasonably priced (decent one can be had for 7-9k in my neck of the woods) but I've heard can be a handful at the limit, and a pain to work on.

Any take on either of these topics? And how is getting parts?
 
Was this the silver MR2 that had the Akina Speed Stars decal on it? if so, where did you get it!?

edit: maybe not, but where can I find the owner of this car? does someone remember? I know I saw it somewhere on these forums, it's buried somewhere in a "your car" thread i think.
 
New poly bushing kit and brembo blanks came today. Still need to get brake pads.

Also I found that my driver rear sway link was installed backwards on the S/C. It looks to be twisted and causing the bar to bind. Time to order new links I guess. Hopefully thats that has been causing the popping noise I've been hearing.
