I was hoping for better from the CS, but it looks too prone to understeer. Maybe he overheated the front tyres?

That's certainly the biggest moment I've seen him have, understeering wide coming onto the Fuchsrohe

I've watched probably a hundred Nordschleife laps and I've never seen anyone use the curbs like that.

The really quick drivers make a fast lap look like a Sunday drive. Minimal steering angles with only minor corrections, no stabbing at the throttle, just smooth inputs the whole way around.

That was a very scrappy lap. He loses over 2 seconds compared to his delta lap!

I reckon if he did a good, clean run & chose the right gear at the right time, he'd be right on the cusp of possibly going under the 8:40 barrier.

Good to see him using all his skill though & not relying on traction control to keep things in check as he does too often in the high horsepower cars.

Certainly the most unusual lap of the 'ring I've ever seen.

Wanted to see what was left of those tyres. It wouldn't have been pretty.
