I know many of you may not be baseball fans but it is a very rare thing to be able to attend a championship event in any sport so maybe you can appreciate the awesomeness it.
Things all started a bit rough when I went to the ticket brokers will call to pick up the tickets. For some reason the tickets were not in the envelope!
They told us to just sit tight and they just had to be brought over from another building. Forty minutes later I was getting a bit warm under the collar
. I saw a steady stream of people come in and out with nice duckets in there hands but where the hell were mine! Finally the MAN walked in the room with OUR tickets and I heard angels singing in the back round (AAAAHHHHH).
It was well worth the wait! When we purchased the tickets we bought the cheapest seats we could find which meant we would be sitting in the nose bleed bleacher seats. $65 dollar face value which we paid $400 for. That price had almost tripled by game time. The tickets that were handed to us were a ton better with them being only ten rows above the bull pens. These tickets had a $100 dollar face value that I would sure guess went for more then a grand per seat. Yay for us on the upgrade for no apparent reason! 👍
Now on with the show!
First up was some BP with Big Poppie, the Youk and assorted Sox
Nice to see the sun go down just as the game started and some other misc. shots.
Next up is the pre game ceremony
This picture might go down as one of my favorite pictures that I may ever take. This was looking down at the Red Sox pull pen home plate. I get the impression that this set up might be a tradition of the Sox and I feel privileged to have been able to see it.
Nothing will ever top seeing the first pitch of your first World Series game.👍
Our Seats were right next to the ESPN TV set. Small Bonus
Jonn Kruk and Karl Ravech
Peter Gammons and Tim Krukjian
Dusty Baker
Me and my MVP
Some action shots
The famous "little drummer boy" Sox bull pen.
Another great shot in which you see the ball half way to the plate but the pitcher is looking at the ground.
Win or lose the game has plenty of history to it. My camera has this cool multi-shot function that sadly let me get this series of photos of the last pitch of the game.
After getting stomped in the WS it seemed fitting that the sunrise this morning was very beautiful. Life does go on! We'll get'em next year!
