Well, I noticed that a couple of my posts had disappeared off the face of the Earth this morning. Apparantly, Cosmic checked and said that I had 2096 posts at one stage, and then all of a sudden I had 2088. Now I'm guessing I posted 8 times in the Rumble Strip, as I noticed the missing posts there. Is there some sort of glitch that deleted all of my posts from that time in the Rumble Strip?

Here is where I first noticed.

Can somebody please explain this.

A thread you posted in likely may have been deleted. I believe that if a thread that you've posted in is deleted then you lose all posts in that thread and your post count is lowered.
 
I started cleaning up the GTA forum, and recycled a few threads. Any posts you made in those threads will disappear from your post count, I believe.
 
Neon_duke's assumptions are correct. Once the posts have been removed from public viewing then your post count should reflect the changes.
 
Just curious but what did you delete (my post count is probably wasted from this :lol: )?
 
I removed a couple of spoiler threads that members had requested to be deleted. Nothing major.
 
Oh OK, then I never went into those, thanks though, glad to see someone cares about the GTA forum 👍

Ahh that would explain it. I never noticed you had done that (as there are so many threads constantly active, it's hard to keep up). Thank you so very very much, duke. Very much appreciated.

When I need a certain thread stickied, I'll probably ask for that to be done and maybe a couple of posts to be deleted. But for now, it seems that a couple of us have been Policing on our own, and it seems to have worked. So it's not too much trouble now, and less trouble than I would have thought.

But that would explain alot, thank you.
 
I think I lost well over a thousand posts sometime back. Probably when the Test Forum was deleted because I had moved a lot of my old threads to the Test Forum a few months ago.

It's pretty awesome, actually.
 
Actually, no posts contributed to your post count from the Test Forum, meaning that when it was deleted, noone would have lost any posts.

However, when certain Threads got moved from the Rumble Strip to the Test Forum, people then would have lost posts.

On September 7 I know I had 12,308 posts, and I've made a hell of a lot of posts since then.

Well, the Test Forum was an oddity in some ways. Posts made in the Test Forum did not count towards your total. However, posts moved to the TF still remained accounted in your total. But posts moved to the Recycle Bin are removed from your count.
