Due to the system not shutting down properly.
pjs123456789Yes it is possible to restore it without losing anything. I restored mine like 4 times. Try this, with the system off and the power cord plugged in the power light should be red.Press and hold the power button until it turns green and go back to red. You should hear one beep. I emphasize press and hold don't release until it goes back off with the light red. Do the same thing again this time you should hear the beep twice. The light must go back red again when you press and hold like the first time. Turn it on now like you normally would and it should work now. If it don't start up like normal now, repeat the process again. Remember one thing, I did it 4 tmes before.
Off topic but i keep getting currupt data using youtube on my ps3 browser , will just randomly crash i have to turn off by the button.
Sorry people but none of these solutions are working. Would Sony help if i was to call them up?
It just says it will take 2-3hours to fix the data and then it goes to 100% and starts normal and is still corrupt
CDJWxXGYBSTARXx: I went through all of this as well and nothing worked but it's worth trying. Replacing my drive was the only fix in my case. It couldn't hurt to call Sony. If you are within warranty you could probably get a replacement.
CrowftwI had the same problem too five times and I have phoned Sony every time i received a new one each time so I am well impressed on Sonys part.
