My thought about the G27 issue

After speaking to Logitech customer support today, getting an incident number and a confirmation that this is a known issue with no repairs possible (for the customer) without breaking the warranty, having it replaced was pretty easy. They emailed me the indicent details, this was enough for the online dealer i bought it at to refund my purchase when it's returned. So, ordered a new one directly from Logitech now, says in stock and hopefully will be on my doorstep soon enough.

Like GTP_Vice says the buttons can be mapped. Did mine some time ago so i could access the traction control settings etc.. using the DPAD. Not really sure what additional G25/G27 support we need. As long as i can map the butttons I'm happy.

Good afternoon.

You can map the buttons with the g25/27.
Just set it as a DFP.

cheers

Will it still recognize the six-speed gearbox since the DFP doesn't have one?

I can't remap the keys anyway with the g27.

Maybe you personally can't, but it is quite easy.

You don't need to SET what wheel you are using in GT5. It detects it automatically. But to edit the button functions, you need to go to the settings for P1 DFP.

Go into settings. Go to the P1 DFP settings and then you will be able to map the buttons to whatever you like. Check the above diagram to see what each button on the G27 corresponds to. I ended up setting the RA menu and controls on the shifter console. And yes the shifter still works like normal.

The one thing I really miss is the ability to look left and right. In the middle of a Nascar pack that is an absolute must.

On my G25 the right and left 'arrow' works for looking left and right (hard to do when racing though!).

I think the sooner all of us g27/g25 owners realize PD will never fully support these wheels, the better off we are. Be happy you can go, shift, turn and stop. Keep your ds3 handy.

I'm sure there is no logical reason for this, that's just PD.

It took Logitech 3 months to ship a replacement power supply to me ... it was the universal one used on nearly every US wheel. They don't stock their warehouses well when it comes to wheels.

Odd - they sent me a replacement DFGT for a wheel that was 2 years out of warranty in about a week. Logitech has me as a customer for life just for that.

did that

G25 works fine for me without the actual menu support. Thats really good enough. What you do find lacking on G25 is the lack of buttons so RA adjustment is one-hand on wheel affair...

I'd like to throw a real wheel on the G25, how much does that affect FFB though? And with the larger diameter wheel it makes driving LMP and open wheel car(maybe not in GT5) less appropriate....

Why hasnt anybody talked about the real problem with this wheel? If you are fast enough on track(my guess?)they start to add brake on your car.On fast corners, entering and exiting a corner, just trying to uppset your cars balance.I know others G27 users with this same problem,so im not alone. You can get rid of it by pushing brake pedall but it just comes more agressively back.THIS is something that I cant understand. Are they that desperate? And I think they are after close online racing,no mather what?Just like in Prologue.-Ex GT fan

Not sure I understand that last post....what do you mean by adding brake on your car?

I had a similar issue with my old Momo wheel ... the throttle would cut out sometimes. I've had no issue with my G25.

Are you sure you don't have ASM turned on? If so, that will slow your car down in the turns.
