Yeah I've watched it abit.

Are you obsessed with mysmilies.com?

It's not from mysmiles.com........:dopey: but I am obsessed with smilies.
So this show is really cool and I think it's going into its third season. what episodes have you seen?

I think a lot of the myths they bust are really cool, like the penny thrown of a building(contradicts my avatar), the dynamite in a cement truck and the one about a jet engine tipping over a car.👍

Yeah I watch it when I get the chance ... speaking of which it's on in 20 minutes :D

I love Mythbusters. They always start out as scientists, trying to actually prove or disprove an urban legend. Then 9 times out of 10, once they have completely disproved the myth, they just try and blow something up for the sake of blowing something up. It's brilliant!

And I wholeheartedly agree, Kari is hot. :D

What episode is that from?
The airplane toilet seat episode. Kari was the mold model for the latex ass they were going to use. So, she put on this skin tight outfit, and sat in some liquid molding material until it got hard. I bet that didn't take long...

Oh, Christ. Am I the only one that caught this? 👍

I love MythBusters. I just watched the "Surviving a gunshot by diving into water; swinging up and over the bar on a swing set" episode earlier.

Animal Planet's The Most Extreme is great, too.

Mythbusters = greatest show on TV.

If that wasn't one of the most biased statements ever and you recognized it, you need to watch the show (i.e. get over the fact that I offered no argument!). I just love the show.

That's the episode I've been wanting to watch. I've missed it again. Damn.

So, what did they say about diving under water to avoid bullets? I shoot my Glock in the pool all the time for ballistics testing. The bullet travels about ten to twelve feet. If at the correct angle, a .22 will skip across a lake. It's an awesome sight to see.

You know, Discovery Channel itself is great. They have alot of cool shows, espcially this one.

I love Kari, and I love when they blow crap up.

They actually confirmed it. A few of the rounds, like the .50 caliber, even disintegrated.

“Higher velocity bullets disintegrate in less than 3 feet of water, but slower velocity bullets, like rounds from a pistol need up to 8 feet of water to slow to non-lethal speeds.”

By the way, they used one of these to fire off the .50 caliber rounds. I think.

I figured as much. My .44 mag loads, 310gr, at 1100fps, will travel a good 12 to 15 feet under water. almost the width of the pool. They'll aslo penetrate over 15 inhes of dense muscle and bone of a large game animal. My .308 rifle loaded with 155gr JHP wont penetrate past 10 inches of flesh and bone of a medium game animal, like deer or boar. The faster a bullet goes, the more it easily frags.

I wonder what .50 cal bullet they were using. I gotta see this episode!

I've watched every show thats been broadcast in Aus, maybe I missed a few at the start before I discovered how cool a show it is, but its pretty much my favorite show at the moment, especially with all the rubbish Australian Idol crap on (yes its even worse than American Idol).

The main two guys on Mythbusters are perhaps the best (ie most normal) homosexuals on TV, none of this queer-eye-for-the-straight-guy rubbish. These dudes like blowing stuff up and are actually intelligent! There should be more shows where the main star's homosexuality isn't relevant or important to the concept of the actual show at all. 👍
Oh wait, thats all of Hollywood's leading men right there. Silly me.

Didn't a US Marine use one of those in the first gulf war to singlehandedly destroy a platoon of Iraqi BMPs? (Well, he destroyed just two; the rest surrendered.)

Yep. They come with rounds of ammo that either explode, set things on fire or penetrate through thick armor plating.
