Help me, I'm lost!

Just got the game last night. How or where can I use the full ring and tg test track? Thus far I've only sen the TG track in the Bus race and the ring in the AMG 300sl event. Are these tracks not available for free running and testing? I tried searching, but no luck.
 
complete the BEGINNER top gear event for top gear track.. it is gonna be hard.. drafting is the key

and for nordschleife do the same in the amg event.. theres like 5 challenges.. all hard.. took me 30 mins in the 1st event to get gold..
 
Do you have to gold them? I plan on doing so, but for now I just want the tracks.
 
These are exclusively what opens the tracks for practice/arcade:

TGTT - GOLD on the samba bus beginner challenge @ TGTT.

Nürburgring Nordschleife - BRONZE or higher on the intermediate AMG challenge.

Note, For 4 hour format grab silver, 24 hour grab gold. Good luck!
 
The AMG driving school is easy, and the guy who speaks for the demo's is really informative, I even learned that Count Nurburg was executed near the last turn before the long straight, thats why it was called the Gibbet Head, thanks for the history PD!

But I failed at the top gear challenges, I will do them some other time, probably when I finish the license tests, it's the lotus one I can't do, the car just spins out.
 
That VW- TopGear race wasn't very hard. Done it twice: First time I ended 2nd and the second time 1st. I earned the Topear track with that. I've completed the AMG test with Silver and haven't got the Ring, so I think I have to get gold then??

You have to get all bronze on the AMG special event on intermediate difficulty to unlock Nordschleife.
 
For me I eventually unlocked TGTT by winning the Van race. I got Nordschleife and Nordschleife with changable weather/time by getting 4 Silvers and a Bronze on Intermediate with the AMG Tuned Mercedes SLS (why can't we get that as well as the normal one).
 
So, can anyone confirm what you have to do to win the TGTT? Do you have to gold the challenge, or just complete it?

For the Top Gear track to be unlocked you must gold the beginner bus race. Basically draft and almost never brake for the corners.

Except not braking causes you to ram the van in front of you. Instant disqualification. It took me around eight tries just to finish the race at all due to the stringent "rules". Hell, you can't even go around them, because you end up "out of bounds" and boom, disqualified.

Aside from being overly difficult, it's also nothing like any race on Top Gear. Since when do Top Gear races haves rules? At least rules that get followed, anyway.
 
im so happy to find out these tracks unlock. i did take a drive on the ring during some challenges and its the most beautiful version of the track ive seen visually. now only to open it up and the top gear track. bloody bus, lol !! lap one is like grid lock traffic after work in a big city except this is a bloody race !

Well the 24 hour tracks is almost impossible to unlock. So :ouch:
