N/A and Best Car For Each Event

Sorry im New to gt planet and new to engine tuning, what exactly is a N/A engine, i need this information to complete in the NA Event in Professional Event.

Also, a long time ago, i forgot what date, but i read a thread on here about a guide for what car to use. Like it gives you the event and gives you the option of best cars to use in that event.

Example: Tuning Event in Professional Event
Best Car to use: M3 GTR Racecar.
and so, so. i've been lurking around and , yes i have used the SEARCH button but can't seem to find that thread again, help please.?

N/A = Normally Aspirated.

i.e. no forced induction of air such as in Turbocharged or Supercharged engines.

There's no "best" car for each event. "Best" is a subjective thing for each different player. Some people define "best" as most grippy & best handling, others define "best" as in massive horsepower and huge straightline speed, yet more define "best" as the car that will give the highest number of A-spec points or a tight competition with the AI drivers. It just depends what you want out of the game.

I'd suggest having a look in the 200pt A-spec Races subforum for some suggestions of cars to use in particular events.
The Stock car race comparison / challenge thread has a gigantic list in the first post of which cars have been used without modifcations to win high points races in each event, but high point races require more driver skill in some cases and may not be what you in particular were searching for.

The Look here before you ask - MANY FAQs thread has a tonne of links regarding car info and race event requirements.

Digital-Nitrate Lists/Info links thread is an excellent resource too.

Welcome to GT Planet. Have fun looking around and settling in.

N/A = Naturally (or normally) Aspirated, as Smallhorses said. Smallhorses still has the best avatar, does he not? :sly:

You can't enter a car with a turbo or supercharger into these races at all, so if you have one of these equipped, you'll have to remove it if you can before trying to enter the races.

Obviously, there's the Turbo Cup as well. You'll need to do the reverse here: enter a car with a turbo in it. You CANNOT enter supercharged cars, unfortunately. :banghead: bummer.

What are good N/A cars? Im Empty on N/A Cars, i Believe the SLR Mclaren is supercharged FordGT is for sure supercharged. But Im on a limit here, im saving for a 4 black cars, i currently only want to buy 3 and have 5.5m. So what are the option of a fast and cheap N/A Car?

Give us an idea of your racing ability. Are you mostly relying on high HP to pass cars on the straights and getting low A-spec points in each race, e.g. 1 - 60 A-spec per race? Or are you a better driver using the car's cornering & braking capabilities to their fullest potential and rarely colliding with other cars, barriers or running off track?

A used Ford Mustang SVT Cobra R or Honda NSX (about 30,000 Cr) should be plenty powerful in stock form for these races, provided you avoid lineups with the Proto Motors Spirra or Pagani Zonda in.
A new Proto Motors Spirra is 80,000Cr and would be more than sufficient. (it drifts very easily too, if you like that sort of thing.)
A used TVR Cerbera Speed Six for between 27,000 and 51,000 depending on mileage should kill the NA races with no tuning.

Go here to find a list of which used cars appear and when. ;)

Alternatively pass all the tests for Super Licence in bronze and win Mercury Cougar XR-7 or get all golds in International B Licence to win Jensen Interceptor MkIII, both of which are eligible for NA Cup.

Im a Pure Horsepower guy xD, i drive clean when im bored and up for a challenge. Other then that im a rampaging machine, clashing with cars to earn my spot and going dirty if i have too ;P. a TVR Cerbera Speed Six used?ill Try the Mustang then. It's seems like i have enoguht days to make up the missing credits. im at 280 days/ 694 =P guess no worrying?

In that case, I suggest something else from the TVR garage rather than the Speed 6 that Smallhorses has suggested.

Used Car's Early 90's. TVR Griffith 500 '94 model.

Find a 60000km version for just over $20k. Do an oil change, then fit the chip/exhaust/porting/balancing and Stage 1 weight reduction. Racing Flywheel, Triple Clutch, Carbon Driveshaft, customisable suspension and some racing brakes and you'll have a car with around 400hp & weighs just under 1000kg.

It will easily deal with the Blackpool Racers championship, the Lightweight Championship and a few other series from it's raw performance and it doesn't really need too much else, you'll be surprised at it's pure straight line speed.
