New French company overtake longstanding French company to release a DD console wheel. Thrustmaster really are a laughing stock at this point. They have lost so many customers

Nacon...

In 2023 I had the disgraceful idea to buy TT Isle of Man Ride on the edge 3: the worst racing game I've ever played. :yuck:

This is the discussion thread for an article on GTPlanet:

Nacon Reveals Revosim Wheel Bundles and Accessories, Future Range Plans

An official announcement about the launch of Nacon’s new Revosim racing peripheral range has been made, a year after the initial announcement. The “Pure” Direct Drive wheelbase and steering wheel will be the first to be released, with more accessories to come...

Ahh, that's exciting to see another competitor open up. Perhaps by the time I'm able to spend the money, this'll be a viable option. A bundle at around 9nm with a load cell sounds like exactly when I'm after. If they can capitalize on the 'mid' range and fill the gaps between Fanatec and Logitec then I think they will do well. I find myself weary of Thrustmaster wheels in my budget due to overheating issues so I welcome another option to consider.

Looks like I'll be window shopping here for a bit.

Looks and sounds awesome, no console support... Usual. Surely adding console support would be beneficial to all these companies that don't bother with it? I just don't see the logic in putting all your eggs in 1 basket instead of 3.

no console support...
... yet.

They're not officially saying it, but you certainly get the distinct impression from the interview that once the first products are out of the door - May for the Pure 9Nm, Wheel, and Pedals; October for the Pure Shifter, Handbrake, Clutch, and Mono Wheel - and what looks like the less expensive Initiale stuff (5Nm, Wheel, and Pedals), something consoley might be on the cards for 2026ish.

It makes sense for a new-ish manufacturer to go to PC first, before having to put in the time and resources for console support (licensing, additional hardware)

5Nm is well and truly covered by Thrustmaster and Fanatec, There is a space in the console market for this exact wheel and pedals at that price. Would of sold well if they went down the console support route as well as PC i reckon.

Sure, but again:

It's also noted in the article, where I interviewed the guy who's head of racing at Nacon.

This looks really good. It's not easy to do an apples to apples comparison but:

REVOSIM RS Pure wheel + 9nm base + pedals (metal, load cell) = 719,91 eur (with 10% discount) (+ a free pair of gloves + phone stand)
MOZA R9 v3 + RS v2 steering wheel + SR-P pedals + desk clamp = 871,66 eur
FANATEC CSL QR2 8nm base + CSL pedals with load cell brake upgrade + metal faces upgrade + CSL wheel + desk clamp = 774,80 eur (+ extra pedal/clutch) the wheel does not look as good as the others, tho

For 250 (!) extra eur you can get PS compatibility and a better wheel, fwiw. I wish metal face pedals and load cell brake were standard like in the Revosim bundle, tbh.

No support for console yet kinda sucks because I play GT7. Between this and the the "recent" T598 I think I will sit on my T150 while things develop and I can make a proper decision to upgrade to DD.

I wonder if other brands wheels are compatible with this base?
