Something I always enjoyed in the Gran Turismo series was the rally sections. With the new physics I really have high hopes for some sick rallying.:crazy:

The closer the release date come the more I get excited to slide some home made dirt slingers around the new rally stages. Which got me thinking on what I will build for that particular time. Given there are going to be about 1000+ cars to choose you can basically build your dream rally car and have cockpit view.👍

For me, I like being unconventional. I been thinking how great it would be to build a NA Miata to offroad spec. Lightweight rally rims, big old tires and possibly mudflaps if possible. Along with a proper suspension setup, cage and maybe a supercharger for kicks.

So lets hear what you guys will make...

I think I'd try and go for a 70's theme, so a Lancia Stratos with huuuuuuge madflaps, no aero, turbocharger with wastegate and steamroller rear tyres!

Setup? Tires, cage, and an exhaust that'll shoot flames. If I ever come across a cheap one IRL, I'll Rally-cross it like a madman. Been looking, passively, for years.

RS200 lowered with high end gear ratios possibly with a stage 1/2 turbo.
 
I'm going to go for a station wagon setup, probably an Impreza or Legacy wagon. I'll stick to RWD if possible, up the power to get sliding, and definitely tune the suspension to be as rough as the FFB on the DFGT will take.

I love that idea! one of my fav cars in GT4. I cant wait to try out new Physics in GT5.

By the way was it possible to buy dirt tires for this car? It will be a awesome rally car!
 
Do you think its going to be like in GT:PSP, where certain cars cannot be driven on dirt or snow ?
 
Hey guys, we should have challenge to take some mean sports cars to turn them into rally cars, soften and raise the suspension a bit, close gear rations, cool body kits, etc etc. I seen Porsche rally cars, why not a AMG? or even a TVR?
 
I Rally specced an R34 Midnight Purple Edition on GT4 but I guess that's too easy..SL65 could be interesting...or a CSL.

After my wagon, that's gonna be my second rally car. I'm planning on taking an F430 and making it as mean as can be on the gravel.

It actually exists and was used in the late seventies I believe ( it's a 308, the predecessor of the 328 ).:)

Sure, you can buy dirt tires for it. Depending on what class you want to run in and how much money you want to spend, used steelies & some snow tires (DOT) is a great way to go for rally cross.

If you're talking about the game...I have no idea.
 
I'd say Porsche 959 but..:( However I did rally a yellowbird which was kinda fun.

I hope not. There are TONS of rally cars out there that got turned into rally cars from something you would have never guessed could rally...

I smell a high suspension, soft sprung, dirt tyred McLaren F1 in my future... :crazy:

A 90's Impreza wagon with just bigger diffs and suspension.My kinda ride
 
Escudo, how I miss that car. But um, maybe try a Lancia like somebody said, Delta though.
 
Something modern and 4wd abviously. Either an STi WRX, a Lancer Sport Back, maybe even the new legacy. Super light, good usable power...

That looks like it's for a targa race. By rally, I assume the OP is talking about dirt and mud. I don't know if I'd wanna do that to an Aston :(
